First Night on The Job

You twirled your keys around your finger as you walked from your car and up to the old, run-down building in front of you. You weren't even in it yet and it already reeked of mold. Jesus, your boss could have warned you. Once you opened the metal entrance door of the building, the horrid smell only got worst. You covered your mouth with a hand as you held in a gag. God... It smelt more like something died in there now that you think about it.

Reluctantly, you walked in. The huge door shut with a 'slam'. "FUCK-" you jumped then turned around to face the door. You groaned as you turned back around and hesitantly walked to the office where you had to resign until 6 Am.

You sat in the chair before turning on the training tape your boss left you. "Hey Hey!" his voice said, "Glad you came back for another night, I promise it'll be a LOT more interesting this time!" 'The tapes must have been from a previous employee,'  you thought because this was NOT your second night. You spun around in your swivel seat as he continued to go on about the attraction. Was this even legal??

Eventually, he said his goodbye's and the tape stopped when you heard a 'click' from it. "Finally," you mumbled. You turned to look at the clock, it was a bit after 4 so your shift was almost over. For the rest of those two hours, you played Minecraft on your phone.

The alarm made a chiming noise that signaled you were done with your shift and The Day Guard (or your boss) would be there in minutes to watch over the place. You hurried to collect your things because the LAST thing you wanted to deal with today was people with what shit sleep schedule you had. 

Once you exited the building you saw an old, beat-up car pull into the parking lot. A man that looked to have some sort of purple skin tone got out of the run-down car and gave you a glance of egnolagment before heading into the building. Something about that stare... Unsettled you. You shivered a bit before getting in your own car then heading home. 

Tomorrow is another day.
