I took her, acting like the dominate until the door closed. The she was.

She held my waist.

"I love you, Ven." We began to dance slowly to the elevator music. It beeped, floor 5. Someone was coming in. Han switched people. I kissed her and a stylist came in. We went and dropped Han off, awkwardly. I got off at floor 12 and smiled. The whole world knew.

Tomorrow is death day, but I have Han on my team. I have a chance.

I needed strategy with her, so I went from my floor, to the elevator.

"Where are you going, sweetheart?" Haymitch looked like he couldn't give a shit, but he asked anyway.

"Johanna's."

He grunted. I got in the elevator, and watched out the window. How did the Capitol get the best of everything, and District get their trash? We're both human.

*beep*

"Hi, Ven." She looked up from the TV in the living room.

"Hi." I came over and sat on the couch. It was playing a silly Capitol soap opera. I personally think they're useless, they get divorced like 800 times per episode.

"We need, like a strategy." She jolted me out of my daydream.

"I agree, hey! I'm supposed to be the smart one!" She smiled at me and held my hand.

"We need to still act weak obviously." We both rolled our eyes.

"Obviously." She reached out to play with my curled hair.

She ran her fingers through my hair, thankfully not touching any knots. She was a completely different person. I enjoy it.

I knew she was strong because she was from District 7, lumber. She would chop wood, do the District work. I knew she wasn't weak. I also knew she actually loves me. She's not the best actor.

"We can do that until the end, then go on a killing rampage!" She slammed her fist in her palm.

"You make it sound easy. But what if we're the last ones?"

We sat looking at each other.

"I don't know. I can't kill you."

"Me neither." A long silence hung in the air.

She tightened her grip on my hand.

One of her mentors walked in.

"Oh, hello Aven!"

I started to smile kinda shyly. I do that when I want someone to go away.

"Nice to meet you!" And be extra polite.

"You too, sweets." People really liked knowing about my dating life.

She remembered why she was here.

"Get some sleep. Which means you actually have to sleep." She winked and I cringed. I hate when people do that if they aren't my partner. She walked to her room and shut the door.

We had been 'dating' for 2 days. I don't know if we can call it dating yet.

She smirked at me. She pulled me closer and kept my scary PTSD away. We slept beside each other on the couch.

*** The next morning ***

I got up suddenly, waking up Han like a lightning bolt.

"What?" She looked around, panicked.

"I just remembered what I just woke up to."

"Oh." She got back down and let me go.

I put on the jumpsuit for the games, thin like paper and stretchy. It was black. Camo.

"Han? I need to go to my floor. See you at Cornucopia."  I kissed her forehead.

She groaned and got up to say good bye.

She opened the door and switched characters. Some Avoxes and mentors were wondering around.

I wish she would be normal soon. The Han I love.

I wanted to the real her around other people.

I went up to Haymitch and Effie.

Effie kept checking my neck.

"I'm fine! Effie, we didn't."

"Okay!" We went down, to the room with the tube and I got loaded in the chamber of going up to our deaths. Fun name. I should do that professionally.

The tube door closed shut and I closed my eyes.

The floor went up and I saw a horrific sight.

Oh fuck.
