War between the Underworlds

Chap. 1

I can't believe after years of working! 

I worked so hard to afford a place like this! 

Standing in front of the apartment building that's the cheapest one that I can find here in Miami

$250  a month and $3000 deposit!

"The room!" looking at aa studio type room with one futon on the ground

"The Bathroom!!" dingy floors and god knows who ever left a stain on the toilet

"AND THERE'S A KITCHEN WITH A BROKEN MICROWAVE!!!"  I shouted inside my head 

Seriously It's awesome!

I did it! I finally managed to buy my own apartment! 

I looked up the sealing as I relax on my cushion bed on the ground 

I remembered the time when I finally had my first part time job..

I managed to get a part-time job right after I finished Highschool,  I earned enough money to pay for my expenses plus I study hard just to get a full scholarship.. 

I got into college eventually due to a scholarship and I graduated BS in Computer Science and it ain't that easy with all the expenses my Grandmother left me before I can even graduate college 

I had to pay off her dept. since she's a gambling addict, I manage to Pay off my grandmother's dept by doing a one time business and after that I swore to never do it again... now I'm just a regular cashier girl at a convenient store that's soon to be shut down

"Oh that reminds me! I better get to work" I stood up and walked across the neighborhood

I was walking home when I heard that there was an explosion near by.. they said it was gas leak

There were loud sirens as I came closer to my apartment 

"It must be a really big explosion" 

"oh no!" I can't stand the tense!!!!

I ran as quickly as I can and saw hell in front of my eyes

"MY HOUSEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" I screamed 

luckily I didn't even start moving in completely.. but now I have no money! and noo house!!!!! aarghhhh whyyyyyy T^T 

Despite of the crowd in a cold night there was a man that caught my eye.. 

He was very tall I'm guessing a 6ft something he was looking at the burning building while smoking his Tabaco 

What's with this guy? In a situation like this... 

Why does he look so 'satisfied' 

he smirked and I can see  in his eyes at the side of his face that he's finally got what he wanted 

wait a minute.. 

That guy is.. 

oh- he saw me I better get out of here!

I turned away and walked slowly until I reach the next corner to ran my heart out 

I have to get as far away as possible. If I head this way to the next street, I can reach the shoreline, even on foot

"Haa!! It's been a long time since I ran this much! I need to work on my cardio more!" I yelled at the  shoreline 

-anyway.. How on earth did I end up crossing paths with that guy...? Well, since I'm this far away, I should be alright...
