“Don’t you think a building made of glass is a poor idea for a hero school?” I voice my thoughts to my companion while looking past the bright blue arch in front of us. Before me stands a massive building in the shape of a 3D H. By 3D I mean no matter which way you look at it, it’s an H. Kinda strange but go off Nedzu.
“That’s what you’re thinking about?” Akio retorts, judgement evident in his tone. “We’re standing in front of the number one hero academy in the country where we’re about to be taking a practical exam and your first thought is, ‘weird building.’” He chuckles, a deep and comforting sound, as I turn to look at him.My non-blood brother is staring at me with a humoured expression gracing his handsome features. The thick black eyebrows scrunched together, crinkled golden eyes that make you feel like you’re drowning in warm honey, thick lips pulled up in a slight smirk that hides his perfect pearly whites, all framed with a strong bone structure and thick black ‘good boy’ hair framing his face. Topped off with our school uniform I could practically smell the hormones being released by the girls ogling him. Gross.
Tilting my chin up to meet the eyes of this 190cm bastard, I hold eye contact for a long second before sticking my tongue out at him. Not giving him the chance to react, I turn and skip through the massive gate. His frustrated grumble follows me and I let a sweet smile grace my features at his reaction.
I don’t bother looking at the students around me but it doesn’t stop me from feeling their confused gazes. I can’t blame them for being confused at my presence at a high school entrance exam. I’m a 158cm slim girl with light pink hair split in two long braids with blue bows on the ends, massive pink eyes that exude innocence and a small frog backpack. I look like I should be getting ready to go to middle school, not finish it. Oh, how good their confusion feels entering my body.I don’t bother looking back to make sure Akio follows me. He knows better than to trust me alone in a crowd. I giggle lightly, unintentionally aiding in the ‘little lost girl’ air I’m giving off. I’m not one to care for others opinions but playing into my looks comes in handy for my quirk, especially in places like this.
I see something worthy of my attention out of the corner of my eye. Stopping, I watch some green haired kid trip over the air. That green hair looks vaguely familiar but the tingling sensation of a forgotten memory stops me from trying to remember. Whether I know him or not won’t stop me from enjoying watching him eat a face full of UA shit. I get my hopes up too soon apparently because the kid gets caught by what looks like a gravity quirk. My lips turn down in a pout, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Akio who managed to catch up to me. He gets my attention by tugging lightly on one of my braids.
Turning my body around, I direct my pout at him, “No fun.”
I get no verbal response but I can see the frustration as he sticks his hand out, silently demanding my own. Fucking bastard, trying to keep my on a leash. Unfortunately, I don’t have the option of refusing so I huff out my annoyance and grab hold to drag him through the front doors.
To be seated around so many people in such a small space. So many tempting options but also so disgusting. I can hear coughs and sniffles from all over the room. My nose crinkles up at the overwhelming smell of B.O. So this is what it’s like to teach gym to pubescent teens, yuck.
From my seat in the third row, I can’t see much of my competition but I’m not too worried about scoping it out anyways. I’m more focused on the fact that there are 300 people in a room that still manages to be an average temperature. I wonder if a staff member has a temperature related quirk, guess that’s something to look into. The people to around me are busy freating about the dumb exam. The written portion was so easy and this part won’t have anything on the training I’m used to. I just hope our speaker confuses the audience enough to charge me up.
