The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache. I was also not in my own bed, or Kirsten's. My clothes were neatly folded on the floor with a note on top, I reached for the note. It was from Mark.

Dear Kara,

I don't want this to be a one time thing. Is that to forward? Anyway, you looked so pretty last night. I couldn't help myself. Sorry if you feel I took advantage of you. I left you my number if you want to meet up again or something's wrong.

Mark.

He seemed upset at himself for what we did, what a cutie. I grabbed my phone which was lying next to my clothes and saved his number. Kirsten hadn't texted or called me so I hoped she was fine. I got dressed and tried to sneak out of the house.

"Had fun last night?" Kirstens giggle floated down the corridor.

"Jesus, you're loud" I groaned.

"You were too last night" She said. She still sounded drunk.

"Oh god" I said my cheeks began to burn with embarrassment.

"I never seen the guy you slept with before. Was he good?" she questioned as she walked down the stairs with me.

"Honestly I don't remember" I sighed as we picked our way through the passed out bodies.

"Well that sucks, it sounded like you enjoyed it "she giggled.

"The giggling still hurts" I groaned.

"Sorry, we'll get some painkillers when we get back" she said putting her arms around my shoulders.

We walked down the street with our heels in hand and our hair a mess. When got to our building we decided to take the elevator up because the stairs seemed like too much effort. I unlocked the door and Kristen did a run type thing and face planted the couch. I on the other hand went on the search for something to get rid of that damn headache.

I found some painkillers in the bathroom, poured myself a glass of water and swallowed them. After making a noise of disgust I went back through to join Kristen, who had fallen asleep with her legs on the couch and face on the laminate floor. I knocked her legs off the couch to join the rest of her body. I lay on the couch and decided to text the number Mark gave me.

Kara: Hey, is this Mark?

Mark: Yeah.

Kara: Oh good.

Mark: You feeling okay?

Kara: There's just a little drummer in my head. No biggie.

Mark: Get some pills for that.

Mark: I mean like painkillers.

Mark: Not like drugs.

Kara: Yeah I got it.

Mark: Sorry I left before you woke up.

Kara: It's okay. You didn't have to fold all my clothes up and stuff by the way.

Mark: Well I felt bad.

Kirsten groaned from the floor.

Kara: I gotta go. Drunk friend is waking up.

Mark: Have fun x

Kara: Such fun.

Why did he send a kiss? Was he serious about the more than a one time thing?
