━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

hot-headed. angrily. irrational. all of those words are used to describe bakugou katsuki, one of the top students in 1-A. many had mixed feelings about them, always leaning to the negative than the positive. they couldn't stand his crude behavior, and rash words. it was annoying.

however, (m/n), one of the most favorited students in 1-A, was dating that hot-headed, angry, irrational idiot. it was unbelievable when the blond came out and claimed (m/n) as his. how could someone willingly submit to a guy like bakugou?!

they started off fine. they were together almost all the time, no matter the day or hour. they would cook together, clean together, sleep together. they did everything together. it looked to be that they were inseparable. so far in love, they had no room for anyone else. that's how it began.

not many noticed, but as months passed, they struggled. despite having a change of feelings about relationships, his first priority was always to be the number one hero. and he wouldn't let love get in the way of that. as training got harder and more pressure was put on his shoulders, he spent more time training, and spending his nights alone. he couldn't have someone like (m/n) distracting him from his goal.

(m/n) was a kind soul, too forgiving for his own good. he understood why his lover distanced himself. his mind was set to something, and he was determined to reach it. (m/n) respected that. however, that didn't stop the sadness that slowly grew in (m/n)'s chest as he watched the boy he love fade away from him. he did his best to make things work, and to make sure there was no instability to their love. but, he felt like he only made things worse when he tried.

the blond would yell at him more often, and give him dirty looks when he was irritated. he would bail out of small dates that were planned. hell, they couldn't even sit down and watch a movie together. bakugou was angry. he's always been angry. but now, his anger was being directed towards (m/n).

the male thought it was all his fault. he shouldn't have pressed bakugou, everyone knew how he could get. he was already stressed, why would he do all of his and make him more irritable for everyone to suffer? why? all (m/n) could do was watch his blond partner from behind slowly work his way to the top, while he was all alone.

well. not necessarily alone. his partner was just gone. he still had someone at his side. he had shinso. ever since that sleep-deprived boy was moved to their class, they instantly clicked. shinso liked the comforting aura that (m/n) gave off, while the latter enjoyed how chill shinso could be amongst the chaotic class. they were best friends. a label shinso hated for the two of them, but had to comply with. (m/n) was already in love. a lousy, unrequited relationship. shinso hated bakugou, but his hatred only grew as he saw the way his friend was treated by him.

"hey, katsuki." it was the weekend. the students were in the dormitory building, doing their own things. shinso and (m/n) had just walked in, seeing bakugou walking out of the kitchen. "are you free? i was hoping to watch this movie of all might that just came out together—"

"tch," the blond clicked his tongue, not even bothering to look his boyfriend. "i don't have time for movies, dumbass. i already told you that."

(m/n) was silent, allowing the blond to huff one last time for walking back to his room. the friends moved to the couch, awkwardly sitting together.

"hey, (m/n)," shinso spoke with a comforting tone. "how about we just watch the movie together? we can't let your money go to waste."

(m/n) quietly agreed, putting the cd in the movie player and starting the movie for them. they sat close together under a warm blanket, their legs rubbing together. the (h/c) haired male's attention was on the screen, but shinso couldn't help but focus on the boy beside him. he looked sad. this wasn't right– none of this was right. how could (m/n) allow himself to be treated like garbage..? like he was worth nothing..?

"y'know," shinso frowned down to his lap. "i think.. i could be a better boyfriend than him."

there was a pause. "i know," was all (m/n) could utter.

"you know?" he turned to (m/n) fully, grabbing his hands. a wave of adrenaline was suddenly running through his veins. "(m/n), i could to the shit bakugou never did for you. i- i want to show you i can be better. i can treat like a gentleman. how a real man should take care of their lover. i would never leave you alone like he is. i would never let you be taken away, like how i wanna take you away from him... (m/n).."

stray tears nimbly ran down (m/n) cheeks, which were quick to be wiped away by shinso. "i know.. i'm so sorry, hitoshi. i'm sorry..." he held onto the purple haired male, crying into his shirt as shinso comforted him.

shinso wasn't entirely sure how his confession was taken, but it doesn't matter. he'd prove to everyone that he would better for (m/n) than bakugou ever may had been. shinso was going to take what was his. no matter what.
