ＳＥＰＴＥＭＢＥＲ ２ＮＤ
As soon as Violet closes the door to my new room I release a breath I hadn't realized I was holding, quickly wiping the tears that had started to cloud my vision, I take a look around the beautiful flat I get to now call my own.
The first thing that catches my attention is the sage colored couch that took up the majority of the small living room area, paired next to it was a small coffee table with a tray of chocolate dipped fruit placed on it along with an unopened bottle of white wine and a sweet note from Violet and the girls.
Welcome Taylor! We are thrilled to have you in England and cannot wait to start having many adventures together as a family. I hope you enjoy the wine, fruit and chocolate as I remembered you mentioned enjoying all of those! Olivia and Madelyn are so very excited you are here and made you welcome cards (PS watch the glitter it will go everywhere.) Setting down the handwritten note I picked up the girls cards and smiled at the tiny figures they clearly put a lot of effort into drawing, the pink card that was clearly made by Olivia was covered in glitter with 3 stick figures decorating the front. Madelyn's purple card consisted of multi-colored lines scribbled over the front and back, opening it carefully I see loose glitter waiting to be scattered all over the white carpet.
I gently set both cards down on the table and picked up a couple of delicious looking strawberries, popping one in my mouth I bite back a groan, this is the best tasting berry I've ever had. I quickly eat several more before thinking I should probably save most of them for later, looking at the wine I grab the bottle and tray of fruits and walk into the simple but chic kitchen.
Opening the all white fridge with the freezer above it I see Violet really did fully stock the entire thing as I attempt to move some of the premade pasta and other expensive looking foods out of the way to place the tray of fruits inside to keep them fresh. Once that task is completed I stand up taking in the many plants that decorated the entire flat but really made the gray and white kitchen feel like a home.
Finding a wine glass I open the white wine and pour myself a hearty glass, no one around to judge me. I take a few sips and appreciate the elegant taste of the clearly expensive drink, capping the bottle I take my glass and being to walk around the flat, again the sage couch catches my eye and I fall in love again, green furniture always does that to me, I can't describe it but even as a child I wanted my entire room different shades of elegant greens.
I walk towards the door which has an arched entryway, that's definitely not something you see everyday but it fits the feel of the room. Around the door are vases on different heighted pillars, full of beautifully colored tulips, how Violet would know that's my favorite flower is beyond me, maybe a happy coincidence. I walk up to them and inhale, feeling my body relax at their distinctly familiar smell.
