3. The Invitation

Sorry it's been so long, I've just had some family issues pop up and now that I no longer have to go to school I'm trying to get used to working almost all the time. Thank you for everyone that has been patient. I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I have.

It's been three days since the kiss I had shared with Klaus, on stage, in front of the whole theatre class as an example. It's been three days that I have tried my upmost best to stay as far away as possible from Klaus Zavior; and three days have passed since Klaus Zavior's lips had touched mine and I had been shocked to my very core. I had wanted for it to be horrible and to have no feelings about it at all. Like a robot. But it hadn't been and I most definitely had feelings about the kiss. In fact I wanted to do it all over again.

The whole class had gotten a kick out of the teacher asking us to give an example of what to expect in the acting business. The point of the lesson had been to "Expect the unexpected". So I had been surprised as hell when Klaus Zavior and his tight crew were all in the class, and when the teacher Mr. Davidson had called on Klaus and me to lead the example. Mr. Davidson had told us sometime during his lecture, "When in the acting business expect to be kissing someone that you probably don't know."

I can still recall the slight pleasure I had felt as Klaus had leaned down towards me to give me a real kiss after being scolded by Mr. Davidson for trying to give me a peck on the cheek. The feel of his lips as they grazed mine and applied pressure had been phenomenal. What made it even stranger was that it was my first kiss from anyone.

I needed to stop thinking about the kiss. I hadn't told anyone about what I had felt during the kiss. No one knew that secretly I had a feeling that Klaus hadn't just been playing the act of lovers being reunited on our kiss in the performance. And if it was just an act, I was astonished that he had made it feel so real. His acting had made me feel like we had been a couple being reunited. But then I guess that's while they call it acting the part.

Three days ago after Klaus had threatened to kill me if I told anyone, I had run home. I could still remember the way Emma had tried to stop me; her face was full of concern. But I hadn't let that stop me; I had grabbed my stuff and raced home. To safety. I remember wanting to cry so badly on the way home, and when I had arrived home I had wanted comfort from mom but she was still at work. Which I had no clue what she was doing for work. So I had sat by myself waiting for Lindsey to come over to work on our project together. She never showed.

I had locked myself in my room, casually looking out the window to make sure that Klaus wasn't stalking the house again. I found myself acting like a coward the next few days; I stayed away from Klaus and the crew. Lindsey didn't talk to me the first day really except telling me that "Something had come up at the last minute," and that she was sorry she couldn't make it after to work on the project with me. I forgave her, but still wasn't sure why she wasn't talking to me until lunch on the second day. She didn't sit at her friends table; no she sat with Klaus's table. Finally I figured out why she had been acting strange.

"After lunch on your first day, Lindsey had gone to Klaus to ask him on a date. Emma refused the offer for Klaus." Troy explained to the table as we all asked "what was up with Lindsey." That lunch shift we all sat there confused. Why would Emma refuse Lindsey's offer to Klaus?

"You know they live together right." Amber said.

"What?" They not only were always together at school, but they lived together as well. None of this was adding up to me. It didn't make any sense. Why would they all live together didn't they have family?
