"You... you... mad man! You evil genius!" UltraMan was trapped, tied by in steel bars of the Villainous Doctor's own design.
"Yes. Yes. Tell me more," The soft spoken doctor rubbed his hands maniacally, "And you are powerless to stop me. I will be remembered. I will be the greatest villain in the world," A sinister smile crept its way upon the aptly named Villainous Doctor.
"I can't believe you would try to destroy all the carbon in the world! Why, that would cause..." UltraMan stopped, a confused look on his face, "Uh... what exactly would happen?"
"Really? Did you skip this section in your chemistry classes or are you just a dunce?" The Villainous Doctor rolled his eyes and leaned up against the captured hero, "I swear, you heroes get dumber every time you appear on the news."
"Um... what would happen?" UltraMan struggled in his confinements.
"Well, first all the pure carbon would disappear, particularly in the earth, which would cause massive earthquakes and sinkholes all over the globe," The Villainous Doctor walked over to a massive globe of the planet Earth. Using a long wooden stick, he pointed out multiple locations on the globe, "Those sinkholes will cause catastrophic damage to these points on the globe. Thousands will lose their live, and millions more will lose their homes and businesses. Phase two," The Villainous Doctor then pulled a Styrofoam ball out of his pocket, "Many substances with carbon in there chemical make-up will lose their carbon properties as the carbon atoms will leave the substances. This will cause the substances to disperse, so most things will be obliterated," The doctor smiled again, and threw the ball at UltraMan, cause him to mumble curse words as it bounced of his head, "Phase Three. All surviving life is eradicated."
UltraMan froze, his look attempting to penetrate the Villainous Doctor, "Why? Why would you do such a horrendous thing?"
"So I will be the most infamous villain of all time."
"But you already are. Why try to achieve something you have already obtained?"
"Of all time. Think about that." The Doctor walked toward the hero menacingly, "I will be the worst this planet has to offer. I will be who people feared the most, right before they die. I will be the greatest villain ever."
"Well sorry," UltraMan flexed, breaking free from the steel bonds and grabbing the doctor by his shirt, "But I am about to wreck you plans. Besides, who will know you did the deed?"
The Villainous Doctor pointed to me, "He is broadcasting all over the world. People just saw all of our conversation."
"Fine, I'll just destroy the machine before you start it."
"Tsk tsk," He shook his head, "You should know me better. I thought of that. I already started it."
"What!" UltraMan's eyes widened.
The Villainous Doctor pointed to the Styrofoam ball, which was starting to disperse before our eyes, "See. It's working. It's working! IT'S WORK

Carbon Loss
Short StoryOkay, I wrote this short story for a science project, but I liked it so much that I put it on here. It is about a captured superhero and his talk with an evil genius, who is trying to take away all of the element carbon from the Earth.
