She stood their blindfolded and bound while he whispered in her ear
"Run, run fast. But remember, I will catch you. You will pay and I will take what is mine. Got it?" She had no words shivers traveled through her spine as he slowly pulled at the rope from around her wrists and ankles.
"When the blindfold comes off that's your chance. You have 30 seconds to run. Then I will come after you with no mercy"
Her heart felt as though it was beating so loud he could hear it. She was ready, ready to run like her life depended on it.
The glow from the moon was the only source of light hidden behind what seemed to be endless trees.
She ran until her legs gave up. Her stomach filled with butterflies. Her mind flooded with every possibility of what he would do to her when he caught her. Would he pin her down into the ground or tie her between the trees like a fly trapped in a web. Either way she was determined to put up a fight, one she did not intend on winning but nether the less it made it all that more thrilling.
She stood their hiding behind a tree trying to catch her breath. Feeling the cold rough bark pushing into her skin.
"Come out, come out wherever you are" a deep voice in the distance bouncing off the trees causing her body to tingle. He was close.
"You've been a naughty little thing now haven't you?" The smirk on his face was so big she heard it though his voice and couldn't help but giggle knowing he would find her like he had every other time before.
She peaked around the trees trying to see how close he really was. Listening to the snapping of twigs and crunch of the fallen leaves. She couldn't quite figure out where the voice was coming from. All she saw was the silhouettes of the trees.
For a moment their was silence. No wind, no crunching of leaves or twigs. Not even the sound of the owls in the distance. She felt herself becoming weak at the knees with anticipation. She knew he wouldn't be kind when he found her.
Her hearing now hyper aware as she felt her body on edge. He could be anywhere.
*thud* a loud noise made her body jump and turn, she knew it was him playing with her. He knew where she was and he was toying with her now. Her heart pounding in her ears as she saw a shadow cast by the moon of what looked to be him darting from behind one tree to another.
*thud* again he was trying to confuse her by toying with her senses.
She could feel his eyes on her as she slowly stepped backwards. Backing away from the noises not knowing she was heading right where he wanted her.
He continued to toy with her until her back hit a wall. She was stuck. Pinned against the rocks with nowhere to run but straight toward him.
His voice soft and bouncing off the walls as he sang to her
"One two I'm coming for you" she couldn't tell where it was coming from all she knew was that she was caught.
"Three four you can't run anymore"
His voice was entrancing. She felt herself slowly drifting into a trance. Her body becoming limp. Not able to run or move. She felt her brain giving in to him.
She could hear him moving toward her but their was nothing she could do.
A warm hand traced from her shoulder to her throat and pulled her in until she could feel him behind her. His heart beat slow, his lips grazing her neck and breathing in her ear making her weak at the knees.
"I told you I'd find you" he whispered before he moved his hand from her throat and running his fingers through her hair. Yanking her head back he sank his teeth into the side of her neck.
