tenshukaku.

that's where the duel was taking place.

i had to help.

i had to help, somehow.

how could he be so stupid?

when arriving, grey clouds tattered the sky completely. rain was expected any minute now. winds battered the trees nearby, a gloomy atmosphere cast upon this part of the nation of eternity. distinguishable crowds of people gathered to watch the whole event unfold.

" there will always be those who dare to brave the lightnings glow."

the vision was tossed into the air. i witnessed the whole thing with just my eyes. the musou no hitotachi itself. the raiden shogun and shogunate's calm composure during the event of divine punishment. the distant but distinct people mesmerised by her very being.

i rushed past the crowd of people to grab the vision. there was no way i was going to just leave it there, the shogun had no right. it was tomo's vision. it didn't belong to her. in a matter of seconds a white haired boy swept past gracefully, taking the electro trinket in his hands. i shoved past all the people and sprinted as fast as i could towards the boy.

it was none other than, kaedehara kazuha. he was far more intolerable than tomo.

" what the- archons, what are you doing here miss kamisato y/n of the yashiro commission?"

a mixture of shock, sadness and annoyance stirred within me. he really had the audacity to mock my title in this instance. how pathetic.

" just give me the damn vision kazuha."

" and why exactly would i do that?"

i gesture and point my hand towards the shogunate who were expeditiously making their way towards us at a fastening pace.

you could say me and kazuha didn't have the best of relationships. he was tomo's friend so therefore i had to pretend i was his friend although tomo always understood we never really got along. i didn't hate him but rather..disliked his existence.

" alright. you have a point but there's not a chance i'm giving tomo's vision to you of all people."

" shut up. this isn't the time to be arguing. don't you see, i can keep the vision safe. i'm apart of the yashiro commission after all."

" there you go again, blabbering on about your reputation that nobody cares about."

" my point is, you'll be caught imbecile."

" no shit sherlock. if the commissioner even finds out your in possession of this, you'll be next."

the shoguns army were closing in. it was time to part away from this discussion or well, argument. kazuha is far too stubborn to even consider giving the vision to me. fool.

" well i'll see ya then, miss kamisato y/n of the yashiro commission!"

" wait! don't leave me alone here! my siblings will murder me regardless!"

" sounds like a you problem."

with a gust of wind and autumn maple leaves. the obnoxious man disappeared without a single trace, leaving poor y/n behind.

" miss kamisato, what are you doing here?" a soldier recognises me while the others ran past. immediately scurrying after kazuha.

i stutter. oh god what have i gotten myself into. there was no escape now, i needed to make up an excuse. any excuse, asap.

" i was looking for..."

" tea ingredients!"
