A light melody drifted through the desolate house. "Ami?" A quiet voice whispered. The humming continued, undetered. "Ami," the child said again, more determined. The humming didn't falter. Then the melody stopped, only for a second. Long enough for the older to whisper, "I love you Dawn." Then the soft music resumed, and the younger sat down.
