Chapter 12

The elders had their dinner and left, leaving the youngsters at back in the lawn.

Shruti: Guys let's play something.

Reema: Yeah please I'm getting bored.
(After her mother's not so good advice she decided to take another chance to be near Sidharth. So here's she sitting with the group and trying to impress him.)

Shruti rolled her eyes at her.

Shruti: Reema as far as I know you go to sleep just after your dinner then why are you still here ?

Reema: Umm...actually we came to hang out after so many days so I thought I can sleep late for a day.

Completing her sentence she faked a smile towards everyone which made them roll their eyes at her. No one among the four liked her especially Sidharth because of her indifferent behaviour towards Shehnaaz. He have seen her many times insulting her, he knows Shehnaaz can handle herself so he doesn't jump in between but he have sworn to himself, the day he catches Reema crossing her line he won't see if she's a girl, that would be the end of her.

Shruti was not different than Sidharth. She hated Reema to the core and the reason remains the same. She knows how cunning her mind has been since childhood. She has never left a chance to demean Shehnaaz then why would Shruti let her go ? After all that's her soul sister whom she's trying to insult.

Vivan was just tolerating her because of the marriage, if it wasn't the case then he would have shown her place for insulting her sister cum saali aka Shehnaaz. He might be a very humble man but he don't tolerate bull shit towards his family.

And Shehnaaz hated her too but never insulted her based on that but yeah she has always given back to Reema whenever it was needed. She doesn't like arguing much so she let her go at times, lol only if she knew how the 3 persons sitting right beside her would sue Reema if she dares to hurt her.

Shruti: ok how about truth and truth ?

Vivan: I have always known about truth and dare, what's truth and truth ?

Shruti: Well it's the same just there will be no dares only truth.

Vivan: Ayee no fun.

Shruti: Uff it is, you know when I and Shehnaaz were in high school we played it with our classmates. When someone asked Shehnaaz if she likes anyone, and to her luck the person who asked was none other than her crush. That was so funny, she turned red in embarrassment.

Shehnaaz choked on her water while listening to her. She started coughing and Sidharth got up to pat her back.

Sidharth: Are you okay ?

Shehnaaz: Yeah I'm, Shruti that was long ago stop bringing that up.

Shruti looked at her and suddenly realised what she did. She reminded her of the person who ruined her life. She knew Shehnaaz was angry looking at her eyes.

Shehnaaz was fighting back her tears. She was trying to forget the person but yet one small mention of him broke her down. Sidharth noticed her heavy breathing, he knew something was wrong.

Sidharth's POV.

The moment Shruti was talking about the incident she was looking at me with a teasing smile which I didn't understand why ? Does she thinks I will be jealous ? Nah, I can't be jealous of just a mere crush in high schools. Even I had many crushes that time huh! But wait why does Shehnaaz's face says something else ? because as soon as Shruti mentioned that person her facial expressions changed. She got choked while drinking making me panic. I rubbed her back vigorously when she glared at Shruti.
