Erin's POV:
I looked into her sparkling eyes, wondering how such beauty could exist, as I lean in for a k-
"Wake up Erinnn!" yells Darwin, my little brother, shaking me roughly as I slowly began to wake up from this mysterious dream while someone else decides to knock on my door.
And just like that, our story ends when it has barely begun.
"Erin! Wake up already and go take a shower fast, your gonna be late at your first day of high school!!" Caroline, my mother said.
"Alright, alright! Calm down!" I yelled back as I went into my closet, looking for what to wear today.
I decided to wear something casual.
A grey colored sweatpants, a blue long-sleeved shirt, and a black hoodie on top.
I then took off all my clothes and went in the shower, still thinking about that strange girl in my dreams while I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall as water trickled on me.
What beautiful twinkling eyes she had, and how when she smiled it would send shivers down to my spine...
"Enough!" I yelled out loud as I suddenly got out of the shower.
I shouldn't be thinking about her, after all it was just a dream...
Just a dream..
But the effect she had on me was intense.
I just hope high-school will help me get distracted from her, maybe some other girl, besides my ex, will help me see true beauty where I didn't imagine was possible.
Just then, my phone rang.
"Dude, how are you!" said John, my best friend since elementary school.
"I'm alright, although I'm kinda nervous since its the first day at a school I've never been in," I told John.
"Makes sense," he said.
"Anyways, my mom was wondering if you need a ride to school today, that she would be more than glad to take you there."
"Sure, tell her I said thanks!" I replied.
"No problem dude, cya soon in around 15 minutes!" John said before hanging up.
"15 minutes!" I yelled not realizing how late I had woken up until now.
I quickly put on my clothes for the day after drying myself with the towel, and ran downstairs into the kitchen to quickly eat some breakfast.
"Woah Erin, slow down there. You're gonna trip and hurt yourself," said Caroline as she scolded me.
"Alright, alright," I said while rolling my eyes, thinking how could I possibly hurt myself anymore after all the pain Hannah, my ex, had caused in the past...
But the past stays in the past.
I quickly finished my breakfast, which was cereal by the way, and grabbed my backpack just as I heard the car honking outside.
"Erin there you are! What took you so long dude," John said as I walked towards the car and got inside.
"I kinda woke up late, school was in my mind all night, barely got any sleep," I lied and decided not to tell him about the girl in my dream.
"Alright then, can you show me your schedule?"
"Sure, although I think I got the worse teachers in the whole school based on these names," I joked around.
