He said he would punish me. He said he'd make my life miserable. I should've believed him...
Mary grabbed her stomach as tears rolled down her face. "This wasn't supposed to happen" she sobbed. The thunder clapped outside, drowning out her cries of anguish to the world. A deep voice spoke to her- one she recognized as the voice of God.
"I have chosen you"
"But why?" Mary sobbed, clutching her growing baby. "Why me? My whole life is a sin."
"Precisely" God chuckled back. "Maybe in the afterlife you'll make better choices- and follow my rules."
Mary groaned as she felt the new life trying to escape her warm uterus. Having no help from anyone she pushed the baby out herself, trying her best not to pass out. Sweat poured out of her pores, her curly locs drenched. She knew what she did to deserve the wrath of God, and yet she regretted nothing. God's wife Asherah was so beautiful, she didn't know how anyone could resist her. When God found out about the affair he promised to punish Mary, but she didn't think it would be anything like this.
After hours of torture, a baby arrived, screaming and red. Mary knew this was her baby, yet she couldn't bring herself to love it. She tormented herself daily, trying to convince her this baby did nothing to deserve her hatred; yet no matter how hard she tried she just couldn't love it.
