"awww baby's first date!" val cooed as riah stepped out of her room in a pretty black dress and a glowing smile across her face.
"see what happens when you put yourself out there?" genie smiled.
"you know damn well that's not what happened. i was peer pressured and forced" riah said stoically.

"yeah, yeah..but he likes you back so its fine really!" genie said through her teeth
"right...watch your back geneva." zariah threatened
"not the full first name" valerie chuckled

*knock knock*

"shit! he's here!..okay fuck! fuck!..do i look good? do i look-..i knew i shouldnt have used this lip liner! god! damnit" riah blurted, running frantically around their dorm.
"RIAH?! calm down..my GOD you're a MESS" genie said grabbing a hold of her
"i'm opening the door.." val announced

"hiiii taehyung!! oh my god you got her flowers?!" val answered
"can you move.." riah said before pushing her out the way
"oh, hi" riah said with a big grin
"hi" taehyung answered with a nervous grin
"these are..these are yours" taehyung said handing her a collection of pretty pink flowers

"so sweet..thank you! is it..is it okay if i keep them here?" riah asked
"yeah! yeah that's fine um..zariah, you look..so beautiful" taehyung confessed breathlessly
"okayyy get a room damn!" genie exclaimed from the other side of the room
"can y'all just go already!" valerie added on
"okayyy okayyy! byee!" riah giggled before shutting the door

"i've never seen you this nervous" riah joked
"stop! i just..i get really shy on first dates..don't wanna mess it up" taehyung admitted
"you've already gotten me flowers and called me beautiful i think you're doing pretty well" zariah said looking down
"and you seem nervous 24/7 so i don't know why you're calling me out!" taehyung exclaimed

"some of us are socially anxious! and of course i was nervous around you.."
"i thought you hated me to be honest.." taehyung admitted

"cus you'd like- freeze up every time i spoke to you or even looked at you and when you'd speak to me it'd be kind of..standoffish"

"yeah, fuck- im sorry..i dont know why but i tend to act like that around..cute boys" zariah said gradually getting quieter

"what the goddamn hell taehyung?"

"your burger...is pink?? that can't possibly be cooked"

"it won't be funny when you get food poisoning"

"nothing i would know about.." riah said under their breath before taking a bite of their food

"nothing!..how're your classes?" riah quickly changed the subject

"oh! well, physics is kicking my ass, dear god" taehyung huffed
"i'd rather jump off a cliff then take physics." riah said stoically
"you hate science that much?" taehyung chuckled
"it isn't real taehyung."

"now how are you gonna tell a physical therapy major something like that??" taehyung questioned
"ugh, it's like! a man made that up! of course i suppose it's real but, physics and chemistry and shit, it's not exactly something i feel is my business" zariah explained
"i can't agree but i respect your perspective!" taehyung announced

"i'm so tired" zariah yawned as she got in the passengers seat of taehyung's car
"god, did i bore you to death??" taehyung chuckled
"no? no! ohmygod no! taehyung this was such a good time seriously! i had so much fun! it's just, i was up all night last night"
"and why is that?"
"a writing assignment..and my nerves" riah explained

"aww" taehyung cooed as he pulled out the parking lot

"there was nothing to be nervous about, if you were nervous during i couldn't even tell"

"drama class pays off" riah declared
"so..why didn't you tell me sooner?" taehyung asked

"ohhh that i had an embarrassingly large crush on you? yeah i still don't know how i ever admitted to that"

"you're making it seem like liking me is embarrassing.."
"it is..well not because of you because of me..i was not! expecting you to like me back" riah scoffed

"you can't just assume that, you only know your perspective on yourself."

"you're not but..it's the added factor that i don't know, i assumed you had somebody already"

"because zar, you're breathtakingly beautiful , talented, smart and in a way that isn't typical like, there's something so special about you where i was just like 'there's no way she's single, plus she's way out of my league and likely finds me repulsive so i refuse to confess!'"

"i had a really good time taehyung" riah said grasping his hand while they stood in front of her dorm
"me too..does this mean i get a second date?" taehyung's eyes lit up in question
