Author's POV

"Working as private investigator is really boring sometimes." The younger sighed as he filled himself a cup of soju. "It's not like we're busy with so much work, it's just devastating to feel so much negativity from people."

"Well that's how we earn two times meal. Stop complaining Jongho. Aren't you nagging a lot hm?" Mingi shook his head , helping himself with some food. The group were at a local restaurant , hanging out together after a long time. "I thought Seonghwa hyung always complained about everything."

"Oh? Him?" Jongho eyed the one of the older member and heaved another sigh. "Don't you think he's acting different after he came back from the trip? San hyung said although he doesn't remember much but he clearly remembers Seonghwa hyung falling off the cliff while saving Yeosang-"

"Shush. Stop assuming things , will you?" Yunho placed his hand on Jongho's shoulder , making him nod and focus on eating instead. Yunho stared at the eldest member of their company and pondered, not all can be thinking the same about how Seonghwa changed after that accident.

"Hyung?" he paused. "Do you have any injury?"

"Huh? Why did you ask all of a sudden?" Seonghwa cupped his cheeks and smiled, "Is something bothering you?" The younger blinked and looked at him with saying anything.

The Seonghwa he knew was very cold and fierce. Not soft and warm. Indeed something was off. He was about to reply the older but Hongjoong interrupted the conversation , placing food on the table

"What is it? What are you guys talking about hm?" The older blinked making Seonghwa chuckle and place his hand on Hongjoong's arm, pulling him to sit beside him. "Stop keeping secrets-"

"We were talking about the new case from Jang family. Minister Jang wants us to spy on his son."

"I wonder why a parent have to go to that extent." Wooyoung turned to glance at others. "Hyung what do you think?"

"Hm. . . I don't know." Hongjoong sighed. "These upper-class people sure have a lot of money to squander around. Don't they?" He smiled to himself. "Who am I to complain. Thanks to them, we get to earn."

"I don't understand why are you guys making me work on this brothel case with San and Wooyoung hyung? Why can't I go with Mingi and Yeosang hyung? They're going to the palace !!" Jongho complained.

"Hm? Palace? Why?"

"The empress want to spy on her husband probably-"

"Don't go." Seonghwa's gaze darkened. "Do not involve yourself in the palace matters. Plus do you know what will happen to our company if you both get caught? The consequences are severe." He shook his head.

"But. . . you were the one who went to the Emperor last time. Why not us?" Yeosang raised his brow.

"Don't ask any questions. Hmmm. . . excuse me." Seonghwa got up and marched away from them.

"I'm telling you. . . his head injuries must be severe-" Jongo munched on the food as he mumbled.

"Ugh. Just leave him alone. Jongho? Eat."
