Auburn's POV

"Mommy!" Kayla yelled running to give me a hug. "We've been waiting for forever. Where were you?"

I looked at her and smiled. "Dre and I just went out to run some errands." I looked over at Vanessa and saw a strained look on her face.

She mouthed the words "We need to talk." I nodded in response and told Heaven and Dre to go inside.

Vanessa and I sat in her car and she began to talk.

"I think we need to call the police or get some protection. He's coming soon, I don't know when exactly but really fuckin' soon." She stressed.

I nodded my head indicating she was right. "Dre said the same thing and now that I think about it you both are absolutely right. We can't do this on our own and I know that now. I wish it were easier but it never will be." I sighed slumping down in my seat.

"I'll have Jarvis gather some of his boys to help us and as soon as work starts up again, we'll be safe there. No way will Demetrius' dumb ass will do anything to you there."

Thats true. Anytime he use to get me would be when we were alone, I'll be just fine at the club.

"So, we have to keep a close eye on Kayla, she's who he wants the most. We both know he'd do anything to get her." I said.

"Alright, we're on a mission Shane and it starts with recruiting hella safety. Our safety has to be inconspicuous and trustworthy. Jarvis is trustworthy and Dre knows people I'm sure. Which means phase one is damn near complete. Phase two, we have to get Levi to start doing heavy reconstruction on the building to get back in there faster. Lastly, we just wait for that dumb muh'fucka to roll up and his ass is grass." She smirked devilishly.

"You are on a high that I love right now. I swear I could never do this without you." I leaned over hugging her and I exited her car.

"I'm a real ass nigga the fuck are you on?" She mugged me.

I rolled my eyes at her comment and continued inside of the house as she drove off.

"Heaven, come here!" I yelled throughout the house.

"Yes mom?" She questioned coming out of the living room.

"I missed you, how was your visit with Jazz?" I asked her walking with her into the kitchen for a snack.

"It was fun, we went to the movies and out for ice cream." She said excitedly hopping on the bar stool.

"And did you finish your homework?" I rose an eyebrow, glaring at her.

"Yes mom, my goodness." She sighed heavily.

"Attitude, I swear I don't know where you get it from."

Dre walked into the kitchen on his phone, talking, most likely about business. When he talks about business, I get a tad jealous 'cause I prefer him talking to me. Shit, I'm selfish but I enjoy his company a lot, work is done at work, not at home.

"Honeeeey." I whined, walking up to him.

He gave me the 'give me a second' finger and I huffed. This is what I'm talking about, I know he has to be on his grind but I want my baby. It's just fine though because I'll go take Kayla out for mani-pedi's and food. There's honestly not much in here which means I need to go grocery shopping.

"Heaven, honey, lets go have a girls day out." I held out my hand for her to grab and she jumped out of her chair and grabbed my hand.

We walked outside of the house and over to my car. Kayla hopped in the front seat and I started the car, proceeding to Britt's shop. I haven't seen her in forever and I really could use her humor as of right now.
