I couldn't believe it

"what the hell do you mean we're dropped Roman" I said loud and furious

"You guys, it's just, i'm not going to work here anymore. I want to go out and do my own things, I want to manage my own Label. I'm tired of taking orders from everyone here" he said

"Then why the fuck are you dropping us Roman!" Joseph yelled

"Well you see" Roman gulped, "Charles, the owner of Diverse and his co-executives, They gave me a few negative words about me going out on my own. Like you'll never make it and Roman don't be such a dumbass. So I told them, you watch i'm going to be one step ahead of you all, i'll make all the artist I signed to you the most biggest success. again they laughed and told me you know what fine quit, but take your artists with you."

"OH MY GOD ROMAN YOU GAMBLED WITH OUR FUCKING CAREER, how the hell are we going to live?! The house is unaffordable for us and it's paid by the company, our lives down the fucking drain cause what? cause you wanted to play God in a business where anything can happen!" I yelled at Roman

it was taking everything in my power not to throw myself across this table and fucking choke him right then and there.

He responded

"i'm so sorry you guys, and you know what Melanie, ya you're right anything can happen. for now i'm sorry you have to find another label. I'll hel-

"No, Roman, no, you've done enough."

The three of us got up and exited the same way we came in. I walked in the lobby and took a deep breath. What the hell are we supposed to do? Sing on the corner for some change?

Our sound had a punk pop type of sound with the most shittiest lyrics ever. we were not good in my opinion. But our first album came out to number 50 on the 200 billboard chart, so I still had a little hope.

9 months later

We sent our demos to 10 different labels. A couple got back and worked with us but in the end they said they wanted to change our image and sound or in my terms Give us all your hard working music for only limited resources that must obey our rules, fuck that.

Maybe we should change up our sound... Maybe a little less pop punk and more hardcore. Maybe we can mix in some techno? And the lyrics, real lyrics, no more what the crowd wants and connects to and more about what we, as the artists want and can connect to . what I can connect to.

I sat down and started writing

You keep me safe and sane

I'm begging you to stay and save me

I'm falling a part faster then Autumn leaves

I can feel my veins freeze as it grows cold

I need you to say you love me even if its pretend

At least itll keep me warm for a little bit

I wanna feel your hands in my hair

I need to hear you say you need me even if its pretend

(authors note: yes these are mine, please don't make fun of me, I wrote this song a long time ago )

I took the song and recorded it then mixed it up again since I knew how to use a tech drum pad and it came out amazing!

Before i opened the door I showed the guys and they came into my room and said there is one record label we haven't tried to contract.

"what are you talking about?" I asked

"i thinks it's called Hey or Hi Records" Brian said

"Well which one is it Hey or Hi"

"No it's called Hey or Hi Records" Joseph explained

"What kind of name is that?"

"one that might just save us" Brian said

"Let's try it" I told them

We sent them some demos of our NEW genre via E-mail and hoped they'd get back to us.

Joseph sat down on the couch of his mom's basement. Since we were evicted out of our house in LA thanks to the Roman incident, we have been taking shelter in Joseph's mom's basement in Hollywood. REALLY hoping the record label gets back to us soon. I followed Joseph as he sat on the couch and so did Brian. The basement kinds reminded me of the movie Fault in Our Stars. Cause I mean it's a basement but it's a really nice basement. As we turn on the TV a call from my mom interrupts it. We talked for a little bit about what's happening and I lied to her saying ya, it's fine, Everything is going good . when really it wasn't. in fact I was getting really homesick. I had a close relationship with my family and siblings, ya we show each other tough love but I love them to death and we have fun making fun of each other. Makes for good laughs, although at the end of the day we are family and we care for each other.

After the phone call from my mom I paid attention to the television, we were watching a Adventure Time. Yes, I know very nerdy, but it was good. Right when it cut to commercial it displayed an advertisement for a band called 5 Seconds of Summer. I have heard some of their stuff and it's pretty good. I think they are my 2nd favorite boyband. The first is One Direction. What can I say, I listen to ALL types of music. From Asking Alexandria to Marilyn Manson to Echosmith to Rihanna I cant stay in one place. But the Boys make fun of me for it. You cant satisfy everyone.

"what is this shit" Joseph says

"it's One Direction's bitches" Brian chuckles

i chuckle along to make things a little less awkward for me since i like them a tad bit.

We waited for 3 weeks and were called from Hey or Hi Records . They want to talk to us! ugh fuck yes, I have been loosing sleep over this. we have an appointment first thing in the morning at 10 A.M.

i'm not much of a optimistic person but, I have a good feeling about this.
