The "wedding" (isabel- 28)

Isabel's world was officially breaking, and it was not breaking slowly, her "wedding", which was really only a front for her being sold to a man older than her dad, was in eight hours.
Eight hours until she was officially someone else's property, sure it's only seven years until she's an adult and can technically divorce him. But without Rowan or Axe Isabel doubted she'd have any fight left after seven years of constant abuse(not like it hasn't been 20 years of almost constant abuse from her mom and twin, but at least when that happens she has Rowan and Axe, who countered the abuse as much as they could).
She suspected that Rowan and Axe had a plan to get her out of it, but they hadn't said anything, so she accepted her fate. Well she mostly accepted her fate, she had a backup plan of murder. She didn't want to murder the man she was being sold to(Rowan and Axe definitely did, but they wouldn't because isabel didn't want them to), but she feared that could be the only option if the (inevitable) abuse got too bad.
Currently she was being forced to get her makeup done while her mother picks up her dress. She didn't get to choose the dress or makeup look, both being things she wouldn't be caught dead in if it was her choice. She knew what the dress looked like, though. It covered most of her body, having a poofy skirt and slightly see-through, sleeves that while, couldn't be described as poofy, weren't form fitting either. It had light teal detailing as well. Her makeup was slightly better, the eyeshadow was the same light teal, lipstick was more or less a natural color, and simple eyeliner. Her hair was her least favorite part, though. She had been cutting it on her own for multiple years, always making sure it was around shoulder length.
Her mother didn't like this, but learned quickly that trying to police her looks made her change them more. So, her mother made sure to choose a look that would use hair extensions, twin buns. Isabel didn't like anything she had to wear today, luckily though, she was allowed to wear leggings under her dress. Isabel assumed Belle and Rowan were also getting ready, but she hadn't seen either since this morning. Belle would be the maid-of-honor while Rowan would be the ring bearer.
The makeup and hair took around two or three hours, she then was made to go to the place the ceremony was being held to help set up. Turns out there was an open bar. And Axe was the bartender. Isabel didn't know how they forged the certificate, nor how he even knew how to mix drinks, but she hid her surprise because Lilith(her mom) didn't know that she was familiar with Axe. So she politely introduced herself(again), as did Rowan, who wore a dark teal suit with his hair in a low ponytail, styled to look short if you only saw it from the front. Belle didn't have to help, Lilith claiming she would mess up her dress if she did. Setting up took another two hours. Meaning there was about a three hour gap before the 'wedding'.
In that time Lilith and a few of her friends finished the small details, like catering or setting up the flours on the tables.
It finally was time for the wedding. There was a bit of time to mingle before the ceremony. Rowan mostly hung around the bar with Axe, no one really questioned this as he was legally allowed to drink and most people figured he had nerves due to his little sister getting married young. Isabel hung with Rowan when he wasn't with Axe(and sometimes when he was, but that was suspicious to some people). When she wasn't with Rowan she was passed around like she wasn't a person, just an object. People congratulated her, but they mostly talked about her mother, or the 'groom'.
Isabel could tell Rowan and Axe were scheming, talking in hushed tones until someone else went to the bar, then they were talking normally, if she was near them they talked about things they had done, or reassure her that it would be fine, but they never told her what they were planning, which made her think she wasn't part of it, even if it was about her.
It went like that until it was time for the ceremony. Axe stayed at the bar, wiping glasses or pouring himself a drink(even though they weren't old enough to drink legally). Rowan and Belle got in their place along with the best man, flower girl, and the rest of the guests. The groom was already at his place.
Isabel could hear and slightly see what was happening, waiting for her cue. It finally came and she did as she was told(multiple times that day).
The officiant started talking, Isabel was quite uncomfortable with all of the eyes on her.
"Do you take Isabel Fae to be your wife?" The man asked her 'future husband'. "I do"
"And do you take kaleb [no last name} to be your husband?" Isabel hesitated, she wanted to say no, she desperately wanted to say no, but she knew the consequences would be ten times worse.
"I-" Isabel was cut off by Axe walking out from behind the bar. Everyone but Rowan was caught off guard, Lilith and Kaleb seemed enraged by Axe's interruption. The miscellaneous guests seemed confused, along with belle. Isabel was confused as well, but also thankful.
Axe started lecturing about how the wedding was a front for human trafficking, and that isabel wasn't being married of her own free will. A lot of guests started whispering, while others stared at Kaleb and Lilith in disgust. Rowan made his way towards Isabel, and whispered, "get ready to run".
Rowan let axe continue a bit more before using magic to kill the lights, when he did he grabbed Isabel's hand and ran to the exit, Axe followed shortly after.
"This was your plan??" Isabel gasped as they arrived at the edge of the forest surrounding eyesanore, the capital elven city.
"Yes. Now get out of the dress, i have one of my old shirts and the boots lily made for you, it'll probably take them around ten minutes for them to find us so change quickly." Rowan answered, pulling out a black bag from behind a tree, pulling out a plain dark blue shirt and black combat boots before stuffing something else in it and giving the clothes to Isabel.
Isabel did as she was told, thankful for Axe and Rowan saving her once again. After she got out of her dress she understood why she was allowed to wear leggings under her dress.
"You have three changes of clothes, two weeks worth of food and three weeks worth of water. I gave you eight-hundred dollars, but avoid towns as much as you can. There are one or two journals along with a small pack of pencils and a sharpener. I gave you a small knife and two blankets as well. One is thicker than the other." Rowan pulled her into a hug as he spoke, Axe had stayed quiet until Rowan had finished and gave Isabel the bag.
"Don't get yourself killed, beanstalk. And don't get caught either." Axe hugged Isabel, they were all aware that this could be the last time they saw each other.
"I don't know, sounds kinda hard without you two." Isabel laughed before continuing, "tell lily I love her. And don't let Gabriel be a dick to you, I mean it Axe."
Axe smiled before replying "I think Rowan would crucify me if I did." They heard shouting getting closer every second, Rowan hugged Isabel again then made sure she was on her way into the forest.
"Where is my child?!" Lilith shouted as she reached Rowan, Axe had already left, not wanting to face her wrath.
"Don't know, but not here." Rowan leaned against the tree he hid the bag behind. He had a poker face, not letting on that he knew anything.
"I can kick you out you-" she was cut off by Rowan laughing.
"Check the will, mom. The house is legally mine because I'm a fae by blood. Not marriage." Rowan smirked, he checked this all the night before, making sure everything they did was legal.
Lilith glared at Rowan but ultimately dropped it. Kaleb on the other hand, didn't. He yelled about a waste of money and tried to say he deserved Belle, because he had already paid for one twin.
Rowan shut that down quickly, saying it'd be weird to marry Belle after Isabel left. Also that he could possibly save his reputation if he started now.
After Kaleb left Rowan and lilith started back to the ceremony to clean up, by the time they got back everyone was gone except belle.
The fire Rowan has felt since Isabel was eight had left, knowing that while she wasn't safe, she had a better chance than if she stayed.

with Isabel
"Where is my child?!" Isabel heard her mother ask as she ran deeper into the forest. Her lungs were burning and her breath was ragged, but she didn't stop until she felt sick. By that time it was near sunset, Isabel knew of a tree house she could stay at, but didn't know how to get there from where she was. So she searched for a cave. Luckily she found a relatively dry cave that didn't look to be the home of any wild animal. Luckily she knew of a fire spell so she didn't have to find rocks or anything to start a fire normally. Isabel accepted the fact that she might never see Rowan and Axe again, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt.
