It's been two months since Liam and I started dating. It's been the best two months of my life.
My phone buzzed. It was Liam.
Hey beautiful:)
I quickly texted back.
Morning :)
As I was waiting for a response, I decided to get ready for the day. Even though my dad abused me and hated my guts, he never like made me go to a smaller room. He let me keep my huge one,and I was a little confused by that. Maybe there really is a little bit of compassion in his heart still.
Once I picked out some clothes, my phone buzzed again.
Do you want to see a movie after school?
Ya, that'd be fun. Gtg, have to get ready for school. Ttyl xoxo
Bye <3
I put on my jeans and my black river bandits hoodie. I smiled as I remembered the day I got it. Liam and I were on a date and he took me to my first baseball game. Nothing extraordinary happened, but I had soo much fun.
I walked over to my vanity and put my hair into a low, side ponytail. I put on some foundation an Chapstick. I grabbed my phone and my school bag and went downstairs and out the door.
Once I got to school, I went straight to my locker. All of a sudden, I felt hands over my eyes and a voice said "guess who"
"Hmmm Ryan Seacrest?"
"Nope. Guess again"
"Channing Tatum? I'm jut kidding. Hi Liam" I smiled.
"Hey" he gave me a quick hug.
We walked to class together, and sat down. Soon enough, Spanish was over and we parted ways to go to our next class. I had biology and he had a writing class. After those classes got over with, we both had drama with Mrs. Proctor. It was my favorite class.
After school, we met at the usual spot and then headed to the theater. He still hasn't told me what movie we were going to see. He got the tickets, and handed me mine. We were seeing Allegiant. That book killed me. This reminded me of when Kyle and I were supposed to watch Insurgent two years earlier, right before I found out he was cheating on me.i push the thought out of my head.
It was a really good movie. There were a lot of parts that weren't like the book though. After the movie we sat in his car and just talked.
"Avery, I just wanted to let you know that I trust you. I trust you with my whole heart," he said honestly.
"Thanks" I replied and gave him a smile.
"But I have a question for you, do you trust me?"
"Of course I do." I said.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Absolutely positively," I said honestly.
"Then why won't you introduce me to your parents, let me come over, or tell me about childhood? I have done all of those to you, why can't you?" He asked and I could see the hurt in his eyes.
"I-I-I just" I sighed. "can't," I finished.
"Well how do you expect me to be with you if you don't trust me?" He asked.
I just stared at the floor of his car.
When I didn't respond after a while, he muttered, "that's what I thought." He looked out the windshield, started his car, and we drove away.
The car ride was silent. He dropped me off at the coffee shop and I walked home. When I did get home, I noticed my dad wasn't home and realized that tonight was Wednesday. Wednesdays are when he goes to his buddy's house and plays poker and drinks beer with them.
I went up to my room, crying. I sat on my bed and decided to text Liam since I couldn't muster up the courage to ask him the question I needed to.
Are you breaking up with me?
After a minute, my phone got a notification that he had read the text. I sat there, waiting for his response. But it never came.
