1. The Mall

Cailans POV.

Me~ "Carrey, what do you think I should wear?"

Carrey~ "We are only going to the mall, does it really matter what you wear?

Me~ "Well yeah.. duh."

Carrey~ "Is this still about Charles?"

Me~ "Uh huh!"

Carrey~ "For fuck sakes! Your new boyfriend who plays football from 3 till 7 on a Friday is not going to be at the mall at 4 on Friday!"

Me~ "You never know."

Carrey~ "Please, every one knows the captain of the team isn't going to miss a practice for some girl."

Mom~ "Cailan dear, dinners ready."

I sighed and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

Mom~ "We are having chicken pizza with chips tonight."

Me~ "Mom, you know Friday is the only day I can go to the mall now, so I'm not eating here today."

Mom~ "Well, Carrey is more than welcome to stay and eat also."

Me~ "No mom! If you would just give me back my car keys, then I would have gone to the mall earlier on in the week, and then I would be able to eat chicken pizza with you."

Mom~ "The chances of you getting your car keys back is as likely as it is you will win those tickets for that concert."

Me~ "Well, I better win."

Mom~ "If you do, you can have your keys back."

Me~ "Mom! This just isn't fair!"

Mom~ "Well you are too young to be seeing boys, and when you learn that, you can have your keys back!"

Me~ "Mom I'm 16 for fuck sakes!"

Mom~ "Cailan!"

My mum slapped me across the face. I stood there in shock while redness flooded my golden face. I slapped her back and ran out of the house. Carrey followed me quickley afraid of my mom.

Me~ "Sorry about that."

Carrey~ "She still doesn't know youre still dating Charles?"

Me~ "Nope, and she won't find out."

Carrey~ "So who does she thinks is picking you up for school every morning?"

Me~ "You."

Carrey~ "Woah... you got me in this mess?"

Me~ "Youre white like her, she will see eye to eye with you... so I was hoping maybe you could tell her?"

Carrey~ "Okay, you just pushed it."

Me~ "Okay."

Carrey~ "Anyways, heard from your dad lately?"

Me~ "I have told you a million times, I live in a black dad story! He will proabably call the day after my birthday and Christmas Eve telling me his budget is too tight for any presents."

Carrey~ "Whats it like to be mixed race?"

Me~ "Whats it like to be white?"

We both ignored each other.

Me~ "So are we gonna stand out here like idiots waiting for my mom to bang my head against the wall, or are we gonna use ur car to get to the mall?"

Carrey smiled and unlocked her car. I sat in the passengers seat and changed the radio station from Chat FM to Power 106. Love me Like you do came on.

Carrey~ "I love this song."

Me~ "Me to. It makes me think of Charles."

Carrey started driving.

Carrey~ "Do his parents know youre dating?"

Me~ "No."

Carrey~ "I don't think you being together is a good idea."

I ignored her and All Day by Kanye West came on the radio and I started singing alon to it.

Me~ "How long you niggas ball?"

For the rest of the car journey, me and carrey just sat listening to music. Carrey parked in the multi storey parking area.

Carrey~ "Ready?"

Me~ "Yeah."

Carrey~ "where do you want to go first?"

Me~ "I don't mind, I just need to buy clothes for this Rae Sremmurd concert, and you do to."

Carrey~ "There is no way we are going to win those tickets."

Me~ "Gee Carrey, have some faith!"
