Valeria's pov

"We're losing him!"

"Not on my watch we're not! Get another core strengthening potion in here now!"

"Here!"

Selkie and Granny Sasha help me attempt to fix Damien's core, but no matter what we tried, nothing worked.

"We don't have a choice anymore! Aphid!"

"Here! The doctors in Tir Na Nog are ready! Lets go!"

I lifted Damien onto my back and ran out the hole in the house. Due to Mirabel's core lashing out, a sizeable chunk of damage was inflicted on Damien's house. The back walls and garden were demolished. Damien's Vita Socium ran beside me as we passed through the entry for the mythic Fae realm.

"Camilo, stay close to me. These fae won't hesitate to take you."

We continued running until we reached the Fae medical center. An elf wing tied up blonde hair quickly urged Damien to the table. I laid him down and we were shooed out.

Damien's pov

Where am I? It's so warm. I stood in a room, dimly lit up with candles. I stood up and found an old woman in front of me.

"Hello young one. You may not remember me right now, but you will. When you awaken, you will be small again. Tis not permanent, but will last for a short time. Tis not your time to join us. My dear friend ----- prayed for your health and swift recovery. The council granted her prayers. Live a long life. I love you, my son.

I felt my eyes droop close.

<~>

"He's waking up! Doctor!"

I opened my eyes. A bright fairy lighted hung above my head, so I covered my eyes. I went to sit up, but was tackled by a sobbing person. I got a good look as to who it was, but all I saw was curly brown hair.

"Um, hello?"

"Damien! I was so scared I'd lose you!"

"Thanks for the concern, but, um, who are you?"

The boy pulled away from me to reveal the most gorgeous person I've ever laid eyes on. Beautiful dark skin, big brown eyes, soft looking, curly, brown hair, and a scent that almost knocked me out.

"You don't remember me?"

"No, I regret not remembering such a beautiful person like you. Names Damien Calderis. What might your be, Amare?"

"Valeria?!"

I flinched and bolted out of bed.

"Val is here?! That is not good..... Where am I?"

I looked around the room I was in, noting the honeycomb structure. Val rushed into the room with a good looking, though pales in comparison to the beauty on the bed, elven man.

"Hello Mr. Calderis. I'm Doctor Nutrix. Can you tell me what you remember?"

"I was chilling in the  garden with my mother. I don't understand, what happened?"

"Looks like Dissociative Amnesia. Here. Have him take this potion twice a day for three days and he should be fine."

"Thank you, but what about his core, is it stable?"

"I actually wanted to speak with you about that. While repair the physical and spiritual damage to his core looked to be repairing itself at an alarming speed. By the time we finished healing him, his core was properly healed and functioning as if no damage ever occured."

"What?"

I grabbed the area just below my heat tightly.

"Val, what the in hells happen to me? Cores don't just fix themselves!"

"Damien, I want you to sit down and calm down."

"Okay, I'm okay."

"Camilo, your scent should help."

"Okay?"

The beautiful boy scooted closer to me, allowing me to snatch him up and breathe in his scent.

"Okay Damien, first things fist, this is Camilo. He is your Vita Socium."

"No wonder, you are gorgeous."

"Second, humans in your old village killed Mama Sofia."

"What?!"

"Shut up. You moved into a new village, where you met the Madrigals, Camilo's family. You took his sister, Mirabel, on as a student and started teaching her witchcraft."

"Really?! What are her affinities?!"

"Wind and insects."

"Two?!"

"I know! Anyway, we were having a Witch's Brawl, and after you got pinned by a tree, Mirabel's core lashed out. We put a shield over with with the help of Granny Sasha, but your core was strained with too much magical output and you collapsed. Now, we're in the medical center in Tir Na Nog."

"How long have I been out?"

"A total of five hours. Dear god, Camilo, I'm so sorry for forgetting you for missing you family for so long."

"What do you mean? It's only been five hours."

"Camilo, Tir Na Nog's time is much faster than in the mortal realm. We've been here for five years."

"What?!"

I know it wasn't my fault, but seeing my Vita Socium in distress made me feel so guilty.

"Val, lets get back to the mortal realm."

"Right. Doctor, we're ready to leave. Could you make a portal for us?"

"Very well."

I leaned heavily on Val while we left Tir Na Nog. My house looked brand new with an eleven year old boy playing with a jaguar and little jaguar cubs.

"Camilo?"

Camilo rushed forward and scooped the little kid in his arms.

"Cami, where were you?! Mama and Papa have been worried sick!"

"Where are they? In the kitchen!"

I watched my Vita Socium left through a door in a rock as a young woman with long black hair, green glasses, and a deep velvet dress ran into the room. She had a pair of butterfly wings adorning her back.

"Damien! Your back!"

I side stepped a hug, causing her to barrel into Val. I don't think she minded though.

"Damien are you okay?!"

"I'm okay, are you Mirabel?"

"Yeah? Are you okay? Did you forget me or something?"

"I think so. Dissociative Amnesia, the doctor said. So your my student?"

"Yup! Granny Sasha helped me through different lessons while you were away."

"Cool, um, is there any food?"

"Yeah, come downstairs for dinner. Mama is making soup."

A huge fire fox ran past me and sat next to Mirabel's feet.

"Your familiar?"

"Yup, his name's Hugo. Selkie!"

"Master is back!"

My familiar jumped at me, hugging me tightly.

"Selkie, how've you been?"

"Master, your disappearance for five year scared Selkie!"

"Don't worry, I'm here now. I'm home."
