"Jack there's no way in hell they aren't going to love you." You said.
Jack agreed to spend Christmas with your family but had been extremely nervous about it. Your family and him had never met before. You had been on vacation in an area him and Jack were performing at and you guys just hit it off. So for a while you did the long distance relationship until finally his tour was over. But in this time he'd never me your family. So he was extremely nervous.
"They have a billion reasons to hate me Y/N." he sighed.
"Name one." You challenged.
"Maybe your parents will hate me at the fact I've been dating you for months and we've never met. Or that you spent Thanksgiving with my family instead of yours."
"Babe, they won't hate you they are really excited to meet you." You spoke quietly as you knocked on the front door of your parents house.
"But -" He was cut off by the front door opening. Revealing your mother on the other side. She threw her arms in the air with excitement.
"Oh sweetheart I'm so glad you're here!" Your mother cheered pulling you in for a hug.
"Hi mom." You smiled.
"You look great honey," she smiled holding you out at arms length looking you over. Lifting her head she noticed Jack standing awkwardly and quietly behind you. "And you must be Jack. It's so nice to finally meet you." Just like she did to you she pulled him into a hug.
"It's nice to meet you too Mrs. Y/L/N." He said letting out a deep breath.
"Come inside, meet the rest of the family." She gestured, funneling you guys into the house.
The house was buzzing with chatter, laughter, and music. The smell of cinnamon filled the air. Jack grabbed your hand shakily causing you to laugh at him. You placed a kiss to his cheek trying to calm his nerves. Your brother and sisters, aunts and uncles said hello to you as you passed them on the way into the living room.
Walking into the room your dad was sitting on the couch with one of your nephews on his lap. You were the baby of the family and the only one who didn't have kids or was settled down yet. So when you had announced you had a boyfriend everyone was happy but also wanted to make sure you had the best. Placing your nephew onto the couch next to him your father stood up.
"Hi daddy." You smiled.
"How's my baby girl doing?" He asked hugging you so tightly you could barely breathe.
"Great dad." You laughed. "This is Jack."
"H-hello sir." he stuttered lightly shaking your dads hand. He looked as if he'd just seen a ghost.
"Hello Jack," your dad spoke firmly, going from bubbly and happy with you to stern with him.
"Dad." You warned.
"Honey can you please come help me?" Your mother called to your father.
Your dad nodded excusing himself from you two. All the color was drained from Jack's face. But as soon as your dad left the room he relaxed a bit. Clinging to his arm you shook your head. You knew that he was going to be following you around all night like a lost puppy.
"Don't let him intimidate you babe. He's just a big dog with a little bite." You whispered.
"He hates me, did you see the look he gave me?" He said worryingly.
"Babe relax." You giggled pecking his lips.
You felt a small tug on the bottom of your skirt. Looking down your 4 year old nephew was standing there, toy truck clutched in his hand a santa hat on his head. His big brown eyes were gazing up at you. Bending down to his level you kissed his forehead and tickled his tummy.
