Word Prompt from Reddit:
[WP] When your best friend told told you that they're a werewolf and invited you over the next full moon you expected many things. You expected a dangerous, even a violent, night and that you may not survive that night, but you couldn't possibly have expected what actually happened.

Cursed Academy
1/8Purple scales glistened methodically as the body passed by, disappearing deep into the black brush. It was a thick oblong noodle; the girth of a reinforced electrical line.
The only sound it made were the slight rustle of dry twigs and branches as it left.
Jessika hadn't notice it. Her small frame and delicate bones creaked under the weight of each step she took within the Southern Woods. Her skin had aged yellow, like paper, with brown spots punctuating her age. Her hair was long, but it became stringy and brittle like dried leaves. Jessika was aging again.
"The sooner we find the mistress, the faster we can cure our curses," Jessika rasped, sounding weak and out of breath. Claudia was silent.
Jessika thought back to when Claudia revealed her secret to her. It had been a jolly day.
"Hey Jessi," Claudia had said, "I know that you're probably busy, but would you like to hang out with us on Wednesday night?"
"Wednesday? Why Wednesday?" Jessika said in her youthful ardor.
Claudia had paused and the twinkle in her eye was replaced by deep thinking. "Ah, I wanted to tell you my secret..."
The wind blew cold over the two in the square. Claudia's friends had gone off to segregate in their little cave. As the smell of maple syrup signaled the end of the academy's sporty showcase, all that was left was to disperse to their dorms and study the origins of their curses.
"I'm..." She hesitated. "I'm... a werewolf."
Jessika's breath halted and looked up at Claudia with sudden force, as if she had been physically pushed by a colliding tackler.
"This Wednesday, there's a— uh, full moon," Claudia stammered, but went on, "And I trust you. Because I think you can help me understand—" she hesitated, "...my curse and– and myself actually. Because, you're so smart and intelligent with that type of stuff."
Claudia Brzezinski was a soft girl, who always wore something fuzzy and spoke quite meekly. Straight light brown hair passed the end of her shoulders, tucked neatly behind the ears. A poofy white coat obscured her torso, baby blue cotton pants over her sneakers, and a fuzzy knitted beanie over the majority of her head.
"A werewolf..." Jessika said softly, dumbfounded. "I didn't think you could've been a werewolf..."
"I know, I'm...sorta figuring stuff out," Claudia said. "I like talking to you by the way Jessi, and I really think you can help me out with my curse somehow."
"Somehow?" Jessika narrowed her eyes and a seed of doubt was planted in the gardens of suspicion.
A painful smile oozed out of Claudia, "I'm sorry, I thought I could talk to you about this. Please don't tell anyone, I really do trust you."
"...Okay, but only if you can help me with my curse," Jessika said, suddenly breathing hard. "I trust you too, so we can go...definitely, on Wednesday."
A soft mitten rested on Jessika's shoulder. Claudia smiled at her, and Jessika's eyes found herself studying Claudia's toothy grin.
"Thank you, thank you so much," Claudia whispered.
