"I thought I saw something over in these trees."
I whimpered into Chresantos hand that was pressed tightly over my lips
"Erin..shh.." He whispered
But I couldn't..I could feel..this feeling flood into my body..I get this one particular feeling all the time Chresanto calls it regret and I apparently had a "whole lot of it."
The man came closer to where Chresanto and I were and I thought for Sure he was going to find us when I heard him rumbling through the bushes Chresanto and I were hiding in with the hopes of not getting caught.
"Come on!" A voice shouted "It's no use lets just leave."
I heard them crank up their motor bikes
"Erin..I need to go out there." Chresanto whispered "If I get caught just promise me you'll go on without me."
I shook my head no.
Simply because I couldn't bare the thought of reaching freedom and knowing that they're just going to kill him when he gets back.
I wouldn't know how to continue on in life.
"Erin please.." He mumbled
I refused to answer Chresanto sighed deeply when he noticed I wasn't going to budge
"Stay here."
I glared at him as he peered out of the bushes that we were in I peered out as well and I saw one of the guards with his back turned towards us while the other was talking on his phone that only allowed him to make calls to people who were living in our society.
"Okay Erin..I actually need your help..I'm going to run up behind him..and I need you to take the bike and just drive I'll catch up with you."
"What's wrong with the other bike? Chres this is a stupid idea.." I whispered
"They tracked us down because of that bike..Erin I figured it out last night when you were sleeping." Chres whispered
"How..?"
"There's a tracking device in it..its right under the handle but some of them don't have them like those that they have." Chres said pointing at the men that were looking for us
"What if they put tracking devices in those bikes just because they came to find us and something goes wrong and then they-"
"Erin shh..just do this for me..okay?"
I sighed as I looked at Chresnato
"You're lucky I love the hell out of you.."
"I love you too baby girl.." Chresanto smiled before he ran out of the bushes
