"Pey, I believe that Major is at the door. Can you get that? I'm doing the dishes."
"OK Mommy!"
"Hey Major! How are you doing?"
"Good. Happy 7th Birthday."
"Thank you. Wanna come in?"
"YES!"
Major is my best friend. Always will be. I love it when he comes over, he makes me happy and always makes me smile.
"Hello Mrs. Livelington"
"Hello Peyton."
"My mom is over there in the kitchen. I'm going to hang out with Major outside."
"OK, have fun." My mom and Mrs. Livelington said together.
It was a hot day in the middle of spring. The cement was hot and you can see the heat wave. So we decided to sit on a swinging bench under a roof. I saw something was wrong with Major. His face was very sad and distracted.
"What's wrong Major?"
He broke out of his trance and turned his head towards me and looks at me with confusion.
"What you say Peyton?"
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing.."
"It's not "nothing" obviously you don't know what your face looks like."
"Oh, it's that obvious."
"Yes," I said worried with concern. "So what's wrong?"
"My dad got his job moved to Dublin."
"That's not that far."
"Dublin, Ireland."
"Oh..."
