I couldn't think of a good name for the chapter. :T And yup, the picture is Wispy Woods crying. Why not? And I didn't feel like writing about Kirby's epic battle with a tree, so I fast-forwarded.

''Well, I did it!''

Kirby walked back over to his friends... Well, acquaintances. ''Cool,'' Meta Knight said, still deep in his book. ''Hooray,'' King Dedede mumbled sarcastically, in a bad mood because he'd eaten all his food. ''Congratulations, Kirby!'' Waddle Dee cheered.

''Not that I needed your help,'' Kirby muttered, glaring in King Dedede's and Meta Knight's general direction. ''And it only took you...'' Meta Knight said, taking out a pocket watch from his cape. ''5 hours.''

''Well, whatever!'' Kirby scoffed. He began walking away, with Waddle Dee at his side. To Kirby's surprise, King Dedede stood up and followed him. As an even greater surprise, Meta Knight put his beloved book away, stood up, and followed as well.

''Well... Okay then, Mety,'' Kirby said. ''Don't call me that,'' Meta Knight demanded. ''Well maybe you should stop calling me Kirbs, then!'' Kirby retorted. ''You said you liked that name,'' Meta Knight said, his yellow eyes confused. ''I did no such thing!'' Kirby yelled.

''You did,'' King Dedede interrupted. ''Well maybe you need a nickname!'' Kirby shot back at the penguin. ''Kirby, you shouldn't talk to the King like that,'' Meta Knight whispered. ''Unlike you, Star Warrior, I don't care about respect!'' Kirby snapped, saying ''Star Warrior'' mockingly.

''Um, Kirby? You're a Star Warrior too,'' Meta Knight informed his apprentice.

''... Oh that's not the point!'' Kirby snapped. ''M'kay Kirbs,'' King Dedede said, amusement in his voice. ''Okay Fatty Penguin-man!'' Kirby retorted.

''How dare you..!'' King Dedede gasped. He held up his hammer and looked like he was about to smack Kirby with it, but Waddle Dee stopped him. ''Your Majesty!'' Waddle Dee said. ''You mustn't hit Kirby!''

''Fine,'' King Dedede mumbled, putting his giant hammer down. ''Let's stop the fighting, please,'' Waddle Dee went on, addressing the entire group. Kirby let out an angry hmph, but didn't argue anymore.

The four continued their journey, leaving Wispy Woods to his crying, with Kirby in the lead, Waddle Dee close behind, King Dedede a little farther back, and Meta Knight hiding mysteriously in the back of the group, trying to be all emo.

''Whoo,'' King Dedede breathed. ''I need a break,'' he wheezed, sitting down. ''But we've only been walking for...'' Kirby said, trying to think of how long they'd been walking. ''2 minutes,'' a voice behind him said.

Kirby turned around to see Meta Knight standing behind him, holding his pocket watch. ''Do you really have nothing better to do than keep track of time?'' Kirby asked. ''Nope,'' Meta Knight replied, putting his watch away. ''And remember who you're talking to.''

''I think a break is a good idea,'' Waddle Dee said, sitting down next to King Dedede. ''Oh,'' King Dedede sighed. ''If only I had some food.''

Kirby and Meta Knight sat down as well, opposite to King Dedede and Waddle Dee. The four remained in silence, watching as the late sunset eventually settled into an early dusk. King Dedede closed his eyes, and after a while, appeared to be asleep. Waddle Dee remained sitting, but then he laid on his back and closed his eyes.

''So... how long is this, break?'' Kirby asked to no one in paticular. ''However long we want,'' Meta Knight replied. Kirby looked over to his mentor. He was laying down on the grass, gazing up at the sky, and had his sword laying beside him. He actually seemed relaxed. Of course, having his mentor relaxed for once in his life was unacceptable to Kirby.

Kirby laid down next to Meta Knight, ignoring the confused look he sent his way. ''Whatcha looking at?'' Kirby asked annoyingly, following Meta Knight's gaze towards the sky. A couple stars were visible in the dusk sky. The loud snores of King Dedede could be heard, followed by Waddle Dee's quiet ones.

''Just the sky,'' Meta Knight replied. ''What in the sky?'' Kirby asked. Meta Knight remained where he was on his back, his gaze not leaving the sky. ''Just the stars.''

''What's your past, anyways?'' Kirby asked, in the mood for pestering Meta Knight, as he often did in his spare time.

''It's... Complicated,'' Meta Knight answered awkwardly.

The two remained laying in silence. Then, Kirby rolled onto his other side and attempted to fall asleep. But, he was prevented to do so because of King Dedede's snores. He kept trying to fall asleep, but was unable to.

Eventually, Kirby got sick of it, so he stood up, stomped over to King Dedede, and smacked him, yelling: "Would you shut the fudge up?!"

"Kirby!" Meta Knight exclaimed, sitting up. "Don't talk to the King like that!"

"Wha- Oh! Kirby!" King Dedede growled, sitting up. "I was just having a great dream about a sausage..."

"You are snoring so freaking loud!!" Kirby yelled. "Hmph," King Dedede scoffed. "Meta," he added with a note of disapproval in his voice, eying the Knight. "I expected your apprentice to be better trained in manners."

"Yes... Sorry, Your Majesty," Meta Knight answered as Kirby walked back over to him. "I'll make sure to teach him that."

Meta Knight laid back down on the grass. ''Wake up,'' Kirby said in a monotone voice. ''Kirby, I'm tired,'' Meta Knight said, closing his eyes. ''Wake up,'' Kirby repeated again. ''Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up-''

''Kirby!''

''Poyo.''

''What?''

''Poooooooooyoooooooooo...''

''How old are you?!''

''I dunno lol.''

''Act your age!''

''Well, technically I'm a baby, so...''

Meta Knight sighed at his apprentice's immaturity. "Just go to sleep," he said, closing his eyes again. King Dedede had fallen asleep again. Thankfully, he wasn't snoring... Yet.

Meta Knight started to drift into sleep. He could tell that Kirby wasn't beside him; he had decided to keep him distance from the Knight, and was curled up on the ground in a shivering ball. Meta Knight almost felt bad for him. Almost.

Let him find his own warmth, he thought.

Although, he felt guilty about leaving Kirby in the cold. He sat up and looked at Waddle Dee and King Dedede. Waddle Dee had himself wrapped in King Dedede's cape (?). Meta Knight looked over to Kirby. He was the only one of them exposed to the cold...

Against his better judgement, Meta Knight walked over to Kirby and wrapped his cape around him. "What are you doing?" Kirby asked, opening an eye.

"Shut up," Meta Knight said. "Aw, Mety," Kirby gushed, trying to hug him. Of course, he wasn't able to, because as you could guess, Meta Knight was not a hugger.

Kirby ended up falling asleep on him.

Yep, I know what you guys are gonna say (If these even gets any comments o.O),

"SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP SHIP!!!"

Eh, I still don't ship them. Kirby and Meta are good as mentor and apprentice or like adoptive father/son.

Please comment! Seriously, it'll make my day! :)

(Unless it's a mean comment. Then you will not make my day :( )
