The moral compass Looked up to his lifelong friend Byakuya in two ways. One was because he was better than the other in many ways, and two was because Kiyotaka was short compared to the prodigy. Byakuya and Kiyotaka have been friends since childhood, well ever since the Togami family was friends with the prime minister of japan. The Togami family wanted nothing to do with the Ishimarus after the scandal with an exception of Byakuya. They were practically inseparable even though his parents did not exactly take a liking to the poor family Byakuya insisted they give them money but Kiyotaka being Kiyotaka, declined. When The two friends found out that they were both going to Hopes Peak together they were ecstatic. They have been through everything together since they were only 4 years old. The only thing that mattered was that they had each other and maybe could make some new friends along the way. They both hope that they stay together forever.
