"Can't I just pretend I'm sick?" I ask my mom, "no you cannot and you are going to school whether you like it or not" she says with a tone noting that one more word out of me will end in severe punishment.
It's not fair, actually. Forcing your daughter to go to a new school after living in the same area for 14 years and attending with your best friends to school. Now, I go to Old Oak High. No friends. No social status. Nothing. I have to rebuild myself all over again. "The bus is here! Go before you miss the bus Emma!" My mom shouts
Oh, I'm trying my best to miss that bus, I thought.
"Okay mom, I'll be back soon, I guess. Love you..." Is all I can manage to say.As I finally find and sit on a bus seat I notice for the first time the stares I've been getting.
"What?" I say too innocently, "I'm just another teenage girl who's new to this place."
The people have shocked looks on their faces because of my attitude.
Oh great, I thought. I haven't even arrived the school and I've already humiliated myself.
The bus ride took only 5 minutes which didn't really let me listen to my music on my phone. But it didn't matter, I honesty just wanted to get to my first class and get this day over with. I went to the office and was greeted by a nice lady... "Good morning Miss Willows." The lady says, "I am Mrs. Caldwell, the principal of Old Oak High" she seemed nice, she looked old about mid 40s and she had a smooth blonde and white bun, she wore minimal makeup. The only noticeable makeup touch was her lipstick which was a slick red. "Ah here is your schedule!" She says handing me the schedule, "I hope you have a wonderful time at Old Oak, and we hope you do the best in all your classes.. Now run along! I don't want you to be late on the first day!" She says in a super high voice.
I looked at my schedule for the first time:

I had to make my way to the lockers first, but I had to find the map of the school first.Ugh, come on out already! I thought
I kept walking faster and faster as I tried yanking the map out of my gigantic binder but then I crashed into someone who reeked of too much perfume... "What the heck! Watch where you're going! Are you blind?" The girl says. All my papers fell out and I finally got up to get them, I kept my mouth shut because I didn't wanna get into any trouble. The girl nudged me with her high heeled boots, "hey! I'm talking to you! Watch where you're going okay? Or maybe you need to get glasses to see!" The girl says, "Um, hellooooo?! Are you deaf, too?!" She says.I finally gathered all my papers and look at her for the first time. A popular, is what society call them. She wore her hair in a messy bun and had blonde hair with highlights. She had sea green eyes and wore layers of makeup. She wore a hot pink crop top with black high waisted shorts and black high-heeled boots. She carried a bag that had tribal patterns on it. The perfect definition of a girly and popular girl. "I'm sorry..." I mumbled. "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you... What did you say?" She said. "I said I was sorry." I muttered. "Good. And just so you know, I know you did that on purpose to mess up my outfit with my Starbucks but too bad you couldn't mess up Alexis Gold's outfit!" She said, "I wasn't trying to mess up your outfit." I stated. "Oh really? Lies." She shot back, "just because you're the "new girl" doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and get away with it." She said, mysteriously holding her starbucks cup in her hand. "And now... We're gonna get even..." She said sneeringly, "What does th-..." I barely get to say..
She opened up her cup and spilled it all over me while I was on the floor still. "There. Now we're even. Stay in your lane, loner." Soon everyone started gathering around me an this "Alexis". "What is wrong with you?!" I yell, getting up. "Oh, sweetie. Nothing is wrong with me, I'm perfect." She says playfully, "you're what's wrong here..."
She laughs and leaves with her two little friends behind her who just now came out of the bath room. "MOVE!" I hear a voice yell, I suddenly see a girl trying to make her way down throught the large crowd trying to get to me.
