ding! the sound of the bell in the front of the store went off, the sound of a costumer coming in. I was excited for some reason I didn't know why, but still first costumer of the day though anyway I went to the front of the store to greet them and turns out it was just my sister lily.
My parents are really into flowers as well just saying any back to the story, "Hey Rose whats up any news with the selection have the packets came in yet, oh please tell me, tell me!" "Lily shut up and no they haven't came in yet", " Awwww your no fun Rose, I can't believe we live in the same house urg, whatever see ya later." as she walked out of the store, she is impossible to be with, but she and I had the same of getting out of this town except she actually wanted to marry the prince anyway. As soon as Mom and Dad walked and took over the store and I was free for the rest of the evening. Ever since I was little my parent have rarely been there for us Lily and I, they love the book shop more and put their time into it.
The next day our packets came in for the selection and so we filled them in and went to get our pictures taken. Lily was so excited the selection was all she could talk about and about how she wanted to marry the prince and live happily ever after. I felt like snapping her out of her fantasy but, I'm not that mean but I don't believe in true love like cinderella or sleeping beauty. The only reason I signed up for this stupid contest is to get the money to get out of manhattan and travel"Rose aren't you excited for the selection." she asked "I said the only reason I'm signing up is to get out of here and travel."
The next couple day went bye so slow I need to get out of this town and soon cause I was going crazy literally. Finally the report came on to announce the selection girls and the host said this crazy long speech and let the prince speak as well as the king and queen and it was time to tell who was chosen. One by one he called out "rachel phillip in ohio, tori harkman in georgia......" I knewn i probably wasn't one of the chosen ones I'm mean Lily is beautiful and you have me compare in a beauty pagent and she would win.
Then out of the blue "Rose finch in mahattan...."
WHAT?????
