jupiter!metatron & pluto!cas wake to an empty atmosphere. there's a few distant stars in the sky, burning at the far ends of the universe, but they're the only ones who seem to be alive in the vicinity.
... they're alive?
they were sent through a black hole, pluto!cas cas recollects uneasily. he looks over at jupiter!metatron, who seems to be taking in the dark energy & matter for himself.
"is this the afterlife?" he asks.
pluto!cas doesn't reply. "i don't think so. i can feel the gravitational pull of that system over there," he points to a what seems to be a far off cluster of planets. "where the hell are we?"
"i don't know. maybe we should go ask them."
so that's what they do!
they begin their walk through the thick air toward the cluster, the vacuum of space tugging at their dazed minds. the atmosphere was noticeably different, it seemed. not in the respect of a density change, or a star imploding in on itself, but rather just the general feel of the galaxy itself around them, enveloping their masses. it was obviously foreign territory.
after a few light years, they come up on the solar system. yes, it most definitely is a solar system: there's a yellow dwarf star, & 7 active planets twirling around it. as much as it felt different, the two planets recognized it easily: this was their solar system. the only planet that was missing was jupiter, & he was right beside pluto!cas.
but at the same instance, it wasn't. rowena!saturn was free of any blizzard storms across her vessel, & she seemed fairly pleased; she was usually dense & cranky, & used her rings as lassos. sun!chuck wasn't chuck at all, but a lovely lady with kind eyes & brunette hair.

as pluto!cas & jupiter!metatron were taking this all in, earth!sam runs up to them. he takes pluto!cas tightly in his arms, & pluto!cas, not used to this kind of affection from his rude family, takes a moment accept the embrace.
"oh, it's great to see you!" earth!sam says gaily. moon!jack runs up beside him, & followed closely behind him is a woman neither planet has ever seen.
