moving to a big city is scary enough, let alone that city being the capital of japan; toyko. not to mention i know absolutely no one in that big city. i tried everything to try to convince my best friend to move with me, I've even tried to convince my mom. that also didn't work.
mom tells me i'm a grown adult and i should be able to live on my own, but just the thought of coming home to no one makes me sad. sure i'll have my cat. but i'd like to at least have dinner with another human being. and I really don't like doing dishes, so having someone here that could do that for me would be great.
that's what lead me to the position i'm in now. putting an ad on craigslist for a roommate. i plan to meet them in a public place before moving in of course.
new to the city looking for a roommate! preferably someone still in college and looking to pay at least 50% of the rent. (p.s if you could do dishes and laundry that would be great!)
the first few offers were kind of suspicious so i just ignored them. well, I ignored them after having an awfully weird old man over for dinner. hey man he said he'd do all the chores, I couldn't pass that up.
a week later
it had been a week and still no one. at this point, i've been putting my cat's food on the table so she eats with me. preparing for it just to be me and my cat for the rest of my life, i got a text. not just a text but an offer to be my roommate.
picking up my phone immediately i opened the message.
oikawa toruu : hi! my name is oikawa toruu i'm new to the city as well and looking for a roommate! i'm completely fine paying half the rent.and as long as you make dinner I don't mind doing everything else. would you be willing to meet me for coffee tomorrow at 11?
wait he sounds decent. he's also willing to meet in public. i'll except his offer to meet tomorrow and see how it goes from there.
l/n y/n : finally a normal offer!! i'd love to meet tomorrow! i have classes from 7:30-10:30 so if the place we meet is close to my campus i bet 11 could work.
