Mona was a worker at a cafe in New York called Rose's Coffee. She lived in the city all her life and was saving up to open up her own bakery. She always took good care of her customers and loved hearing their feedback on the food she made. She was a caring person and very creative with her work. Isabella was a regular customer at the cafe. She always got a tres de leche slice of cake and a matcha latte. On special occasions she would just tell Mona to surprise her. She'd always ask for her and make small talk while she's making her order. And she'd leave a $5 dollar tip with a cute note on the receipt.
It's been 2 years of small talk and tips and Isabella was getting ready to ask Mona out. Isabella put on a white long sleeve white shirt with a navy blue and black vest on top, blue jeans with a rip on the left knee and white converse. She went inside the cafe and ordered a lovers cake which was just a strawberry cake in the shape of a heart and black coffee. Mona looked at Isabella with a smile on her face
"I see someone's in love"
she said in a joking voice. Isabella got flustered and looked at the ground.
"How cute"
Mona mumbled to herself. Mona handed Isabella her food and was about to turn around
"Wait!"
Isabella shouted
"You forgot your tip"
Isabella handed her the tip with a note as she usually does and rushed out of the cafe.
Mona looked at the tip and note and then back at her.
She never rushes out; she always waits for her to read the note.
She put the tip in her pocket then opened the note. The note read
"(347)-785-0947 text me and let's hangout :))". Mona looked up and started to smile. She took out her phone and quickly put Isabella as a contact.
After a month of texting Mona was the one to ask her out. Isabella and Mona choose to have a picnic date. They brought bored games and books to read. Once the date was done it was already night time and Isabella drove Mona home.
They were at Mona's front door
"You look so beautiful, ''
Isabella said while staring into her eyes. Mona looked at her back for a while then said
"Kiss me"
Isabella leaned in and kissed her sparks were flying everywhere.
"I'm spending the rest of my life with her"
they both thought.
