14. Recognition

Here I am, once again, at the same goddamn club.

"Yay! I'm so glad you came (Y/N)!" Kichi seemed a little bit tipsy already. We hadn't been here for long. Maybe 40 minutes?

"Yea I'm glad too." Gray chipped it.
"Oh yea, (Y/N), this is Juvia" Gray pointed to the girl on his left. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder playfully.

I stuck a hand out "Nice to meet you Juvia. Gray talks about you all the time!"

Juvia let out a hearty giggle. "Oh is that so?" She side eyed Gray, who looked away embarrassed.

"Well I-I mean- Agh! Shut up!" Gray leaned over and grabbed a drink.

"So you gonna go home with someone tonight again?" Gray and everyone else had a curious look on their faces.

"Whether or not I do is none of your business! Since when did you guys care so much anyway!" I wasn't going to. Although I was going home to somebody.

"It's cos she's seeing somebody already" Kichis eyes lit up as she told everybody.

"What!"
"No way."
"Since when?" Gray, along with Kichi and Grays friends questioned.

"That's not true!" Me and Shouta agreed that we'd keep our relationship a secret for awhile. We might not be the most well known heros out there, but if it got out, it would cause a lot more trouble than good.

"Then what about that note? Huh (Y/N)?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

"I told you, that it was a one time thing. And that it meant absolutely nothing!" I tried staying as calm as possible. Although it was difficult with Kichi pushing like she does.

Kichi scoffed at my words. "I'll get it out of you one day." She mummbled while holding a fist up.

"Uh huh..."

It felt wrong being at a club all alone when I'm in a relationship. I guess I'm not alone, but it feels wrong that Shoutas not here too.

"I'm gonna get a drink, I'll be back" I walked over to the bar counter.

I took a look at the drink options. I swear to god these prices actually got more expensive. This is ridiculous! Outrageous! I'm broke!

"Oh my God! Is that that one undercover hero?" I heard a voice coming from behind me. Were they talking about me?

"Ugh, what was her name? P-pa-... Pressure! That's its Pressure!" They were definitely talking about me.

I've never been recognized before. This is crazy.

I turned to face the people that had recognized me. It was a girl and what I presumed to be her boyfriend.

"Uh hi, yea thats me." I said nervously.
"That's insane! We were just talking about you too." The guy said looking really excited.

"Oh yea?"
"Yea!" The girl said with mich enthusiasm.

"Let us buy you a drink"
"Oh you don't have to do that!" I waved a hand at them. They were really expensive drinks. I wouldn't mind if they did to be honest.

"No, no, don't say that. It's the least we can do. You've saved us like three times"

I did what now? I have done a bunch of rescue work but you'd think I'd remember someone I've rescued three times.

"Ofcourse we don't expect you too remember us. But we definitely remember you. What are you drinking?"

I let out a sigh before giving in.
"Cruiser. Thank you so much."
