"So -- can you please explain why I turned back into a little girl?"
A soft yet feminine childish voice that held a bit of an irritated tone inquired towards a baby tomtit [1] that was flying in front of her. The owner of the voice was puffing her cheeks angrily whilst crossing her now little arms and tapping one of her feet. The oversized hoodie she usually wore now was pretty big for her for the reason that it originally only ended around her hip, but now it ended to her mid-thigh. This obvious differenceness made the girl think that she was really short back then, which was kind of hard to believe for her.
If someone ever saw her talking to a bird at that time, no doubt they would be thinking that there was a problem with the child's mind.
By the way, there must be one thing in others' minds that left them wondering right now, and that was what was exactly going on. Well… to tell the truth, it was a rather long story, so let's just make it short. Something happened to Eztia that led her to encounter Willow, a smart baby tomtit that would always be by her side and to have some agreement, then boom! She was suddenly in this unknown world, not knowing what to do, along with the tomtit.
"Actually, about that… I'm not allowed to tell you about it, Eztia." Another voice was heard, yet this one came from the tomtit. "But be glad that you only turned back into your twelve year old body, you won't have to face the pain of your first period again."
The long jet black haired girl could not help but deadpanned at the bird for his bluntness before she released a sigh and gave it a small smile.
"Okay, you're right."
Seeing a smile forming on the girl's face, the baby tomtit felt as if he was blessed by a lot of fortune; it looked like his new partner was a very patient person! It was really rare to find a human like her. His previous partners were always mad at him if he ever accidentally said something he should not or never said, but it was not his fault for having a mouth -- or more like beak -- that always liked to open and say whatever was in his mind.
The bird then began flapping his wings to one of the pre-teen's shoulders and perching on it hesitantly before he looked at her and waited for her to react, only to get petted by the girl. He felt that his mind almost succumbed to ease if it was not for the sound of the girl's voice speaking.
"Anyways, do you know where we are, Willow? I'm quite certain that we are not in my country right now."
Eztia did not know why, but she suddenly had a feeling that she was familiar with this place she was currently in and could not shake it off from her chest. The full moon that was accompanying the dark sky was shining brightly over her small figure, and the pre-teen girl could clearly see her shadow as well as the tomtit's tiny one.
"Oh! We're--" Willow cut off himself from responding to Eztia the moment he saw some dark purple coloured thing rise up to the sky as thunders boomed, startling the girl along with the bird, before the thing took a change of a mythical animal form that caused Eztia to step back unconsciously and Willow to flap his wings in panic, both of their eyes broadening at the sight.
"A dragon! Eztia, let's run away and hide-- why are you just standing there and gawking?!" Willow chirped furiously, feeling a panic surge through him. He did not want her to die on the first day, exactly on the day where they just set their feet -- tarsus in his case -- on this place.
However, he also could not help but sweatdropped at the sudden change of his partner's expression. The wide-eyed look on her face now was replaced with an awed one as her eyes were sparkling. The bird totally did not think her reaction would be like this, her reaction was really unexpected to him for the reason that her reaction was supposed to be like the previous one!
