TRANSCENDENTAL. (The remake!)

Demons.

2 days later...

Anthony sat down at the diner, his head in his hands as he looks at the seat in front of him.
He sighed deeply, taking out the journal he used, grabbing a pen and the camera.
He wrote:

"Well.. It's the 28th of March, 7:58 am.. Another day without Adam, and another day with my father, a stick somewhat constantly in his ass.
It would be easier having someone by my side, aside from lena.. As much as I love her like my daughter, I need a friend.. someone as old as me, someone I can tell my problems to, without them getting too worried.
I miss you dearly Adam.
Rest well."

And with that, he took the camera out, snapping a picture of the empty seat in front of him, sealing it with tape on the page as he closed it, putting everything away.
He grabs his bag, placing it around him.
He took one last sip of his coffee, then payed, walking out of the diner, and getting into his car.
He put the keys in as the engine purred, then he headed to the store.
He always tried to surprise Lena with little things, and he decided to surprise her with another thing as she was at school.
He walked in the store as he walked around, finding this cute purple hoodie.
He placed it in the basket as he found a cute blue skirt, and some tights so she could wear it under the skirt.
Then he found purple converse, smiling as he placed them in the basket.

Then he bought her some mango juice, a new cute bottle, mango mochi, and some other snacks, and on his way out to pay, he placed some plushies in the basket.

By the time he was done, it was already 11am, he sighed as he felt lonely, he just wanted to take lena out of school already, he just needed someone to be with him.

He did things to kill time, and when it was 2pm, he sped to Lena's school, and as he picked her up, she smiled at the things he bought her, as she went on and on about her day.
"And then, and then-"
"Lean bean-! Breathe."
Anthony laughed as did Lena, then she drank from her cup, pretending to breathe calmy as both her, and Anthony wheezed.
When Anthony pulled into the garage, he took the keys out, stepping out of the car as Lena skipped her way next to him, following him inside as she put her things away, mostly on the table as she sat on a chair, pulling out her homework.

After a while of math homework, she finally looked to Ant, as he was painting something under the rug.
She rocked her feet back and forth, tilting her head a bit.
"What are you doing-?"
She pondered, watching as Anthony used a thick large brush, and red paint.
"Yknow how dads been acting weird?"
"Yeah..-?"
"What if he's possessed?"
Lena stopped rocking her feet as she considered it fully, now thinking the terrifying thought of their father being possessed by a demon or ghost.

"how will you get it out of him?"
"I need to use an exercise spell, and it would take the demon or ghost out of him, without hurting him."
Anthony smiled to Lena, trying to reassure her that everything will be fine, and their father won't be hurt.

During that time, Anthony helped lena with her homework, showing her how to do math easier, or how to write easier, adding in words to make it seem like she knew what she was talking about.
Mostly using big words.
During that time, they heard the front door unlocking as Lena jumped and get up, causing Anthony to get up and get in front of lena.
He doesn't know what he's getting himself into, and if he was wrong, he would suffer the consequences of his actions.

Their father, cobra, walked in as he stopped right in the middle of the trap, looking to the two.
"Oh, you bought Lena more things.... What's wrong-?"
He looked at the two questionly as he finally looked down.
"is there a devil's trap there-?"
Anthony nodded as he looked sternly at cobra.
"Move out of it."
"Anthony..-"
"If you're not possessed, get out of the damn trap."
Cobra looked betrayed as Anthony felt sick to his stomach, thinking that he was actually wrong.
His feelings went away as cobra smiled, laughing a bit as his eyes went black.

Lena squeaked a bit as Anthony moved back more.
"Why him?"
Anthony urged, looking into the dark eyes of the demon who took the face of his father.
"I needed YOU gone, Anthony.. You have a great deal with the big man upstairs."
Anthonys eyes widened as he didn't want Lena worrying, so he decided to do the spell.
"Exorcizamus Te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis legio, omnis congregatío et secta diabolica."
During this, the demon smirked as he twisted his head all the way around.
A crack was heard as both Anthony and Lena stood there, shocked when some black smoke left cobras now dead body, and burned into the ground.

"Dad..?"
Lena asked as Anthony covered his mouth.
"Daddy..!?"
Lena shouted, running to cobra as she shook him.
"wake up dad!! Dad!!"
Anthony was looking around, regret flooding in every part in his body as he fell to the floor, his hand keeping him up as the other was placed still around his mouth.
He started panting as every sound was muffled around him, he heard nothing.

Lena was screaming, shaking cobra as she looked to Anthony, running to him as she ran into his arms, holding him as she cried.
Tears coating in Anthonys flannel as he wrapped an arm around her.
"I don't know what happened.."
"Dads dead!! He's dead! Anthony you said he'd be okay!!!"
"I didn't know.."

After some time to adjust to the situation, Anthony carried cobras body, placing it in the back seat of his impala as Lena gathered her things.
They gave the landlord a two week notice as they started grabbing their things.
It wasn't exactly much, aside from books, clothes, other things they needed.
They placed the things in the trunk as they started driving to a field, wrapping their father up in his favorite blanket, salting the body as Anthony handed Lena the lighter.
She got it lit up as she threw it to the body, watching it get enveloped in flames.

They sit down, watching the fire as Anthony pulled lena next to him closer, wrapping an arm around her as she sobbed silently.
"It's going to be okay..."
He whispered, leaning his head down as he kissed her head, resting his head on hers as the fire kept going.
They waited until the fire went out, getting into the car as they drive off.
