chapter 5-Kitten

Jacobi's P.O.V

Ughhh! I feel like I have been run over by truck five times. I have been so busy and I haven't slept in 3 days,not that sleep is a neccesity to me. I drag my feet towards my room. It's finally over,I'm done with everything,every meeting and I can rest until the blood moon where no Vampire rests but that's like trhee days away.

I opened the door to my bedroom and I found her sitting at the window sill as usual she has been doing that a lot. She has changed. She is secretive,she has been hiding things from me things from me and I could just find them out my self but I wanted her to tell me her self but she distances her self from me.

I drag my feet straight to my bed and I flop limp on the bed. Sweet giggles from the window sill reach my ears, I look up and she is just sitting there with a soft smile on her face,something I haven't seen in a long time. I look at her then pat the space next to me motioning for her to come sit next to me. She looked at me with wide eyes before slowly making her way towards me.

Flash Back*****
I had just came back from the latest coterie meeting about the Blood bank and she was on the couch, sleeping on the couch. I will admit things have been a little different after our little make-out session and I guess she is still not ready to face me. I watch her closely before going to bed, She looks like her father but she is nothing of a Brooks.

I wake up to horrible scream coming from the couch. She screams again at first I thought it was a nightmare but then she cluches her chest very painfully and she falls on the floor. I quickly rushed to her, she was crying.
"What's wrong?" I ask her.
"It hurts" she cries out holding her chest.
"What hurts?" I asked her
"Everything"she cried out
"It's gonna be okay" I assured her
I lyed her down on her back and I reached out to heal her but something had blocked me something powerful. What!?.
"Ouch!!!" She screeched out,tears faliing down repeadedly down her cheecks. I felt a light Sting in my chest, Is it posible? Could I be feeling sorry for the human?
She rapped her arms around my waist and held me tight,trying to stop her self from clawing her skin because of the pain. She didn't let me go and I really needed my sleep so I gently picked her up,trying not to hurt her. I walked towards my bed with her still holding on as if I would just disappear. I tired to put her down but it got worse, She scream and her grip got tighter. We ende up sleeping with her ontop of me,which I'll admit was comfortable.

I woke up to leave and she looked a little better so I left. When I got to my office a crazy Taylor busted through my office door disturbing my peace."Master!"he called out
"What!?"I replied clearly annoyed
"I found news" he said
"Talk Taylor " I commanded
"Okay so yesterday Brooks hunter's killed everyone in the Callahan coterie and today I did research and found that the Callahan's were related to the little Brooks we have now and they were her caretakers before you captured her" he explained
"Wait, Why would the Callahan's be caretakers of a Vampire Hunter when they were Vampires?" I questioned
""I have no idea but I also found out that they had some type of bond connected to her,I think she is their kindred "he finished
"That's why she felt the pain yesterday" I mumbled to my self.

If she is a Callahan then she must be a Royal Vampire but she hasn't shown any signs of being a Vampire and even if she were hiding them they would have shown to protect her and she has been in danger of losing her life.
Her being a Vampire also explains the way she connected to my spirit.

Rosey's P.O.V

I watched him with wide eyes as me motioned for me to come closer to him. I yelped as he used his speed to put me on his lap and he had his arms rapped around my waist. I followed his actions by leaning on his chest. "I'm sorry I know you are going through a lot right now" he said in a soft voice that I didn't even know he had.
"How did you know?" I asked looking up at him. He hesitated before answering "If I tell you it will just make things worse" he worried. He cares about how I feel?
"Tell me?" I looked at him in the eye.
"Well two days when you felt the pain in your body and you woke up screaming, the next day I was informed that...uhm...your father attacked the Callahan's and..."
"Stop!" I stopped him before he could finish, I knew what he was about to say and I was already disgusted by his actions I didn't need to hear what he did now.
"Are you okay?" He asked with concern as I got lost in my thoughts.
"Not even" I replied.
"Well... let's move on to other things shall we" he asked although it didn't sound like a question so I looked at him in confusion.
"I got you something " he said with a boyish smile. I stood up to let him show me what he got me. Out of his office bag he took out two books and gave them to me. One had a black cover with a golden spine and had the title:Society of Vampirism. The other one was a dark shade of maroon and had a velvet spine of a black color and the title:Bonds within Vampires.

I looked at him in confusion, am I even allowed to know about them since I'm kind of like the most dangerous prisioner here.
"Am I allowed to even be reading these?" I asked. He chuckled "Not exactly, but I thought you might want to know what you are living with?"I smiled at him, something I haven't done in a while. "Thank you" I told him softly.

There was a knock on the door, it was not a normal one it was kind of fun and active. Jacobi sighed before turning to poen the door. A man stood the other side, he didn't look a day over 25 infact he looked to be on his early 20's just like Jacobi. He had dirty blonde hair, ocean blue eyes and the biggest smile plastered on his lips showing his canines more than ever. "Hello Master" he teased knowing Jacobi was already annoyed and he just walked in. "Yes Taylor just let your self in" Jacobi said sarcastically.
"So are you ready for tonight?" Taylor asked, flopping on the couch like how Jacobi did earlier. "The party is not until midnight, Taylor, what are you doing here ?" Jacobi asked lazily. "Well I don't have anything to did since we are basically done with our work" Taylor whined, before slowly turning his eyes towards me "Wait is she..." he trailed off in amazement.

"Yess she is the Brooks, you know this you've seen her" Jacobi in a matter-of-fact tone.
"I know but she looks different now that she is not covered in blood " Taylor stated with amazement still evident on his face.
"Different how?" Jacobi asked .
"She is way hotter" Taylor responded, I scoffed at his response. "What??" Jacobi asked in suprise before shaking his head and mumbling 'pervert ' under his breath.

Jacobi came and sat next to me on the bed.
"Rosey " he called out to me. I raised my head in suprise because I have never heard him use my first name before at first I thought he didn't know it. "This is Christopher Taylor he is my right man, I work with him" he explained before turning to Taylor "Taylor this is Rosalinda Brooks,and she is not Hot in your eyes" he said with caution.
"Hmmm seems like boss man wants the chica all to himself" Taylor mocked. Jacobi didn't say anything, he just looked at me then back at him.

"We will be going now, you will be okay right?" Jacobi asked me and I only nodded.
And with that they left and I went to warm my self infront of the fire place as usual, for some reason Jacobi's room has always cold at night.

I heard the door jiggle to open, was Jacobi back already but even if he was he doesn't jiggle the door. The door opened and two men I've never seen before walked in smirking in victory and they made their way towards me.
