~A Few Months Later~

It was an early Sunday morning and as usual Imani and King were sleeping in today. After a long week at Maverick she could definitely use the much needed rest.

Knock...knock...knock

Imani opens one eye and picks up her phone to look at the time. 12:23 P.M.

Imani sighs and turns over before getting comfortable again. But she couldn't do that with the persistent and annoying ass knocking at her door. With an attitude she gets up from the bed and slips on her slides before stomping all the way to the door. She looks through the peep hole to find het disgusting ass baby daddy at her door.

"Open up Imani. I know yo ass in there." Jade says knocking again.

Imani rolls her eyes. "What Jade what?" She says whining as she opens the door. He rushes past, taking off his jacket as he walked into her apartment. Uninvited at that. Imani shuts the door behind him.

"What you want nigga?" She asks. "Didn't you move out months ago?"

He throws his jacket on the couch before walking up to her. "What I can't come through now? See my own family?"

Only time he came around was mainly when he wanted some pussy from her. Every now and then they'd fuck but they hadn't been together for a while. Of course he came to see King too but other than that, Jade was pretty busy hustling in the streets.

Imani rolls her eyes. "Nigga Please." She thinks to herself.

"Yeah whatever. Look, King sleep and so was I. So you gon have to come back another time."

Jade grabs her hands. "Baby don't be like that. Aight? Let me take you and my baby out today."

"What you ain't too busy with your punk ass homeboys today?"

Imani shakes her head unsure of what she should say. She wanted King to spend some time with his father but what did she need to be there for? I mean they did things together every once in a while but she was tired of Jade coming around when he felt the desire to do so.

Treating her and King like they weren't shit to him. Being a part time Father just wasn't it. And still, King loved his daddy more than anything in the world.

"Daddyyyy." King says.

Imani hears his little feet making their way towards them. King jumps into Jade's arms and wraps his arms around him. Imani couldn't help but smile as she watched how happy King was to see his daddy.

Jade kisses King's head. "Hey dada. You good?"

"Yeah." King says wiping his tired eyes.

"Me and your mama gon take you out today. How that sound?"

King nods his head with a smile before asking if his mother would also be coming. Imani sighs, eyeing Jade who was smiling then at King.

"Pleaseee." King says.

"Come on Imani. Don't be like that baby." Jade says grabbing her hand.

Imani eventually gives in, agreeing to join Jade and King for the day. She didn't have any other plans today anyways. Besides, this was a perfect time for King to bond with his daddy.

Rico ain't know why Rich and Von felt the need to drag him out today, but he guessed he would tag along since he ain't shit to do anyways. He sipped on his lemonade as he walked side by side with his boys. Out of the three of them Rico was the only one who didn't have kids and he wanted to keep it that way.
