I wake up to the sun shining in my face blinding me so I close my eyes once again.

"Someone's awake," I hear Riff say a little louder then a whisper.

"Mhmm" I hum, and dig my head further into his chest trying to get the message threw that I want to go to sleep. He taps my back and gets up himself.

"But we go stuff to do today doll- well at least I do," he says now fully escaping my grasp. I grown.

"How about that pancake house down the street- I hear it has good breakfast," he says wanting to get out of the place.

"But I don't have anything to wear," I say trying to come up with an excuse not to get out of bed but he pulls me up out of bed by my wrist.

"Don't worry you can wear some of my clothes, now lets get going!" he throws a white t-shirt and a pair of blue shorts at me. "get dressed!"

"Go away! I don't want you to see me in my underwear," I complain to him.

"It would be a sight to see though," he says with a smirk and turns around, I throw a pillow at him  then hear an 'ow' following.

I take my clothes from yesterday off then put his oversized clothes on. The white shirt goes gown to my mid thigh and the shorts go down just below my knees. I put my unzipped leather jacket on top to complete the look.

"You can turn around now" I tell him and he does so. I blush as he checks me out up and down stopping slightly at a few places on my body.

Then he bows down and takes my hand in his and kiss's the back of it being all fancy then abruptly and rudely compared to how he was just acting said:

"Let's go doll," and takes my hand pulling me to the exit of the room.

We walk along the street hand in hand.

"So I didn't know you had a thing for holding hands, lover boy," I tease him. He immediately lets go so my hand drops back to swinging by my side and then letting it feel cold again.

"You were the one holding onto my hand, doll" he said and looked away with embarrassment written all over his movements.

"I never said I was judging you lover boy, in fact I kinda liked it," I tell him truthfully. He looks up in shock then turns back to his snarky self.

"Yeah well I know you did by the way your face was blushing," he replies back trying to get a reaction out of me and he did, I instantly shoot my hands up to cover my cheeks from blushing.

"You can't hide from me doll, you can't hide from me," he mumbles the last part he repeated.

We continued walking for about another half mile while joking and goofing off until we got to the pancake house. I took a big sniff in and damn it smelled so good like maple syrup.

"Doesn't it smell good baby doll?" He said trying to hype the place up, but I looked at him in surprise at what he called me.

"Baby doll?" I ask him still stunned at what he said, he looked at me, processed what I said then blushed all over his face then quickly cleared his face of the blush like it was nothing then plastered his signature smirk back on his face. Wow that was a mouthful.

"You don't like it baby doll? Or what about baby girl?" He asked and his words made my go red all over. I tug on his shirt pulling him into the pancake house.

"Let's go before it gets busy," I mumble the excuse not wanting to look at his stupid face with the stupid smirk.

I pull him into the restaurant and it smells even better then it did outside.

"Welcome to Gills Pancake House! Sit anywhere you'd like!" I hear a pick me girl say from behind the cooking counter. I examined the room and there's about ten other people there.

"Okay thanks" I replied back trying to be nice to her.

"Where do you want to sit?" I ask Riff.

"Let's sit here" he says and sits down to the left of the counter where less cooking is going on. I nod in agreement and sat down to the right of him, closer to the door.

The same person came up to us and stated with the usual questions.

"Hello my names Linda, what can I get you two to drink?" She stated looking so- just so .... I don't have the words to describe it but she was just one of those popular girls who you can smell from a mile away and hate with all of the cells in your body.

"I'll get a coke, this lovely lady over there will get a ..." he said waiting for me to finish his sentence.

"Coffee- black no cream no sugar, thanks" I tell 'Linda' our waitress.

"Okay I'll have that right up for you," she said with one of those fake smiles that is just to forced for my liking then walks away.

Riff and me then connect our eyes for a few seconds then he finally braces the silence with a question.

"Why black coffee?" He asked with a questioning face.

"Well- caffeine it's like a drug for me, all that cream and sugar just ruin the taste of it. Like yeah coffee has a strong taste that most people don't like so they dilute it with all of that sugary stuff. Don't get me wrong I have a big sweet tooth but cream and sugar just- uggh make the taste horrible in my- oh sorry I'm rambling." I finally finished feeling embarrassed.

The waitress comes back and gives us our drinks until I stop her.

"Um excuse me do you have a pen?" I ask her timidly.

"Yeah here," she says gives me an eye roll then walks away.
