after Penny and gumball get in a fight Penny decides to cut the rope, and break up with Gumball. Devastated, gumball doesn't know what to do or how to feel but his night in shining armor will soon step out to save him...

Gumball was laying down in bed at the end of the day, thinking only of the impending disasters to come.
'gah! How could I let Darwin drag me into this!? I'm gonna make a fool out of myself!!!
He felt his eyelids getting heavy, leading him to a surprisingly restful sleep.
~ HDG pov~
HDG, on the other hand was not resting at all. He had always had some sort of fondness for Gumball, one he could never explain. Maybe because his fur was the perfect shade of blue. Maybe because he was so cute when he smiled. He had contemplated the possibility of a crush, but he had many, many other crushes before, This was different. No one ever made him loose his cool in a snap, of made him need to leave the room because his heart would beat out of his chest.
This was more then a fondness. That was clear.

"Darwinnnnnn you're such an idiot! How could you do this to meeeee?"
"Oh you'll thank me later. C'mon Mrs. Mom is waiting in the car for us." And off he went.
When they got there Carri was waiting outside the food Cort doors on her phone. Nicole dropped the brothers off and went to meet her. HDG wasn't there yet, it made sense considering all of them had gotten there about 5 minutes early.
"We are going to grab a table. You can wait or come with us. Either is fine." Carri spoke in her normal monotone voice.
"You two go ahead...I'll just stay for him." Gumball said.
"Ok see you in a few!" Darwin pipped out.
Gumball took his phone out of his pocket to check if the had any new messages. Nothing. Well other then Penny's new post on Instagram and the rain warning. Gumball's curiosity got the best of him, and he opened up Penny's post. Apparently she was on vacation a few states away. She looks so happy and care free. I wander if I was the one that held that from her... his thought was interrupted by a tap on his back. He turned to see HDG standing behind him.
"hey dude." HDG said breaking the silence.
"Oh hey. Darwin and Carri are already inside." He said while leading the other in to find them.
