Lloyd and I sat in that janitors closet and waited for what felt like forever. All I wanted was some clothes and I was starting to get cold... Lloyd offered to call his mom and ask if she could bring me some but I declined. I don't know how I would explain to her why I was naked in a closet alone with her son. So I opted to just wait until the others showed back up. And after a while, they did.

The door creaked open and Cole peeked his head through, "heeey, you guys aren't doing anything weird in here, are you?"

"Ughh, finally," I stand up without even answering his question. "You've got my clothes right?"

"Oh- yup!" Cole hands me the wadded up ball of my clothes as the others follow in behind him. But he's only followed by Kai and Nya.

"So what's up with Zane?" Lloyd asks as he stands up.

"Well... we're not even sure," Nya shrugs, "Zane wanted to speak with his father in private. The only person Zane allowed to stay was Jay."

"Not surprised," I say as I put my pants on, "those two are so close that I can't imagine Zane wanting to take any bad news without Jay there next to him. Almost makes me a little suspicious."

"Suspicious of what?" Lloyd asks.

"Oh, come on. Those two are just like us! Never apart, know all about each other, not to mention the way Zane gets all flustered over every little thing Jay says," I explain.

"Really? You seriously think they're a thing?" Kai asks in disbelief, "I mean- Jay's had a not-so-subtle crush on my sister for forever," Kai chuckles.

"It's true. Everyone knows that," Nya adds on. I guess even she's aware of Jay's constant pining.

"No one says you can't have a crush on two people," I say as I finally put my hoodie on. I'm now fully dressed and ready to get out of this nasty closet. "I'm not saying anything... I'm just sayin'," I look back at the others one last time before exiting the closet and going out into the hallway. They all follow.

I was more than ready to get out of here. Lloyd's mom called after the attack to make sure we were okay since the two of us were on a walk. As far as she knows we're on the other side of town right now. We told her we were safe and sound and she had nothing to worry about. Hopefully Lloyd is okay with eating out some other time. I'm just tired and want to go lay down. As good as all of those noodles looked back at Chen's Noodle House, I think I've lost my appetite.

Lloyd and I walked out of the school building and walked back to his apartment hand in hand.

"Today was... something," Lloyd speaks. I laugh and nod. It really was.

"It's all a little too much to process. I need to rest my brain," I say with a laugh.

When Lloyd and I make our way back to his home, Koko was quick to rush to the two of us.

"Are you two alright? Oh, you must have been terrified!" Koko exclaimed. Ever since I got hurt it only made her more anxious during attacks. But we always made sure to call afterwards and tell her everything was okay. And even after that call she still asked if we were okay when she got to see us again.

"Mom, don't worry, we're okay!" Lloyd chuckled nervously.

"You two always have me so worried," Koko sighed, "if either of you were hurt again I don't know what I'd do..."

I look at her with concern. I'd hate to think that me being hurt was the cause of all of this worry. I'm sure she was just as worried when Lloyd hurt his arm during an attack all those months ago but at least she had some assurance knowing Lloyd heals quickly thanks to the genes on his father's side. But with me? Nothing. Just a normal, breakable teenager with no special abilities whatsoever.
