Frustrated by Dolores's lack of initiative to tell her about the conversation between you and your father, Isabela continually persists, which eventually causes the all-hearer to reveal everything to her. Meanwhile, you attempted to distract yourself from the chaos of recent events by doing all of the chores as Dolores offers to spend time with you and Mariano in town. Feeling awkward, you head back home and fall asleep, making you skip out on dinner as Abuela announces the news of visitors while Dolores struggles to keep additional info to herself. Afterwards, Luisa, Mirabel, and Camilo urge her to spill, making her do so as the trio could only react negatively.

A series of rhythmic thuds reverberated through the stone as you bumped the back of your head repeatedly at the wall while you sat outside, features contorted into a bored expression. You were temporarily forbidden from completing any chores today due to the fact that you 'burnt out' from doing all of them a few days ago, according to the family – who left no room for refusal. It's nice that they cared about your well-being, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Currently, you were watching some of the Madrigals plus a bunch of villagers finishing up the assembly of a new residential building. What else is there to do? Everyone was working while you were itching to do something, anything to contribute. It made you feel a bit bad, to be honest.

A sigh escaped your lips as you averted your eyes to the children's storybook in your hands. A nice kid lent it to you earlier while you were passing out drinks to everyone. It was pretty much the only thing keeping you entertained until you read it so many times that you could recite every single line.

Before you manage to bump your skull's behind to the wall for the millionth time, a hand catches the back of your head as your orbs dart to the ever-so-cheerful face of Mirabel, who simultaneously hands you an empanada.

"Ah-ah-ah! You might get a headache if you keep doing that."

"Oh come on, first I'm not allowed to do chores, and now I can't pass the time?" You say jokingly as you take a bite out of the fresh bread.

"There are better ways to 'pass time', y'know. Like... spending it with me! And besides, it's for your own—" Cutting off her words prematurely, she suddenly boops your nose.

"– good!" Mirabel giggles as you roll your eyes with a smile. As you were busy chewing and focusing on the empanada, the girl's hazel orbs drift to your lips as they gleam with a hint of discreet desperation.

"Um... so about... what I said that night..."

Your eyes widen as you almost choke at her words, they then shift to the ground awkwardly as the spectacled girl continues while she scratched the back of her neck.

"Have you... thought about it?"

Briefly taking a peek at her, Mirabel was staring straight at you with a hopeful expression, never breaking off once. The fact that she closed the distance between the both of you made you feel even more on edge.

Meanwhile, a certain sunny woman watched from afar. Sensing your discomfort, Pepa calls Mirabel to come over for a moment. Said girl immediately sighs then obeys, but not before placing a quick kiss on your cheek, causing a dark cloud to form above the weather manipulator's head as thoughts swirled in her mind.

Are you and Mirabel... already together? The girl wasn't one to be so bold. Sure, she's always been very affectionate to you, but kissing your cheek out in public like this...

No. You two aren't together... why did you look so uncomfortable then? Perhaps she should talk to you about it later. Besides, it's been a while since she had some alone time with you.
