Persona : Memoria Island

Episode 1 - A dark beginning.

Tatsuya opened his eyes painfully, but his vision was blurred and he could not even distinguish what was at his feet, being plunged into darkness. His arms were being pulled by something, while he felt some tension on it, as if he was being quarter. A loud noise came from behind him, when suddenly a great flash of light struck him with full force. While still in shock, he heard the voices of several men without understanding what they were saying. He finally managed to open his eyes and saw that in front of him was in fact a mirror, in the reflection he was able to see that he was on his knees, that he was tied by his arms, and the chains were at the limit of dismembering him, if we were to tighten the ties a little more. Behind him, he could see a table and two chairs, as well as a shopping cart with bottles in it, one of which is empty, then distinguishes the three men who had entered the room, busy putting on black gloves. One of them, the big, muscular one, comes up to the young teenager and says,

"I don't think you're gonna make it out of here alive, so enjoy the moment. sign here.".

The young man who did not understand anything about what happened to him tried to remember what's going on as well as how he ended up here but without success. Then, he questions the man about what is happening but he frowns and straightens up. He cracks his fingers in the hand and then hits Tatsuya's liver, causing him to cough up blood. He then raised his head and wrote his name on the sheet as best he could, "Tatsuya Mishima". So the man backed up and went back to the shopping cart, took a syringe and extracted some liquid from one of the bottles, when suddenly a noise from the door was heard, it seemed that someone was knocking at the door. The man frowned again and asked one of the other two to open the door. The second man then approached and opened it, leaving room for a rather young man, presenting himself as the official representative of the Chamber of Councillors, as the head of the team conducting the investigation on the Metanoias, named Goro Akechi. This name was not unknown for Tatsuya, being the best known investigative idol in Japan, having again sided with the justice after having served his sentence in prison following the events of the phantom thieves, a few years ago. He then tells them that he is here to question the captive, in order to complete the file on this new case. The three men then agreed and after having told him that he had only two hours of maintenance, and that afterwards he would be sent back to the exit. He therefore acquiesced and waited for the men to untie Tatsuya, then make him sit on the chair in front of the one where Akechi was sitting. He then looked at him from top to bottom and said:

"They didn't go easy on you. Unfortunately, as things stand now, there's nothing I can do for you. I knew your predecessor and just like him it is possible to get you out of here. Your liberty will be conditional, but it's the best I can do, in my opinion, unless we find something that can be used in your favor. We're missing elements, but my superiors tend to press charges against you for convenience, rather than looking for the real culprit behind the reappearance of the memento. Now it's up to you, to convince me that you're not responsible for the deaths of these people and to tell me everything from the beginning. Let's start at the beginning, how did you get access to the Metaverse? If you lie to me I'll know and make your life a living hell."

So Tatsuya tried to remember but nothing transpired, when suddenly time froze around him, nothing was moving except him, when he heard a voice of a young girl speaking, coming from a blue butterfly that had just appeared to him:

"You have been trapped by destiny, and your memories are blocked by this substance that has been incorporated into you. Foil your destiny by remembering this year since September to rebuild your memory and overcome this ordeal.".

Tatsuya then closes his eyes, and tries again to remember everything, in order to reconstruct the events of the past, as soon as he tried, his mind rushed into darkness, and he slowly plunged into a deep sleep.
