"What are you on about?" Aedra asked, not having a firm belief in what she was being told.

"I don't know if your lack of knowledge about this place and magic is to my advantage or not." The man huffed out a laugh. "Who would've thought, the clueless princess of Torriden, ends up wanting answers she should know, from her kidnapper." he sighed with a smile as he trailed his fingers along the many choices of what to use on Aedra.

"You're a psycho!" The girl's voice strained as she struggled to move, eyes widening at the syringe in the man's hand inching closer.

The kidnapper didn't try to hold back his amusement. "Clearly you haven't met a psycho." he said in a tone sounding as though he were talking to a naive child.

Aedra gritted her teeth, squirming around as much as possible with the restraints. A dry, calloused hand firmly held her arm in place for a small needle to be inserted near a vein in her arm. After a few moments. All the feeling in her arm seemed to dissipate.

The man stood back. "There, a sign of my kindness. You won't feel pain in your arm now."

"What is he going to do, what is he going to do, what is he going to do? '' Many thoughts clouded Aedra's mind, and when she caught sight of a glistening metal surgical blade, her heart dropped.

Heat pounded her face, feeling a lump in her throat form. She couldn't feel the hold of his hand on her arm, or the blade slicing into her skin, but she could see it. She screamed, pleaded for the man to stop, and tried to do something, anything, but her struggles seemed pointless.

As horrifying as the sight was, it was like her eyes were glued to her arm, not wanting to be unaware of what was going on. She watched as the blade smoothly cut into her skin and flesh, making a clean line down, blood flowing elegantly down, collecting in a large cup as it dripped off her arm.

"I thought" Aedra began, lightheaded from the thick smell of blood combined with the sight before her. " you just... needed my blood." As she finished talking, warm tears damping her face, the man's focused, intense look faded into a small smile, as if trying to hold back a much larger grin.

"Well, your blood could have magic essence, but I specialize in other things too." The two's eyes met, and the darkness that loomed inside his eyes was disturbingly present. The terrified expression on Aedra's face only made the man feel more accomplished.

"Ok, you wanna know everything about me?"

Shocked at the sudden and unexpected question, Aedra didn't know how to respond. Silence lingered between the two before she slowly answered.

"I just want to know everything that is relevant to me." Aedra tried to pull off a serious look, but wincing at the man's vile breath combined with the intense fear she had, this plan failed.

"Well, this world has magic in it, and the forest in your little town is one of the main sources, so, there is a high chance the forest chose you to take its magic." The princess couldn't think of how to respond, and so the man sighed before continuing. "But, since you didn't even know about magic, or the forest, I assume you were not chosen to get the magic, or your family is against it." He thought for a moment. "Oh, or, your family put the forest behind them, and ignored what they could have taken to their advantage."

The two stared at each other, both not knowing what to say. Hating the silence while not doing anything, the man decided to finish what he started. He turned the angle of his blade to create a bleeding rectangle, and Aedra began to beg him to stop once more.

He only created a little beat with his voice, acting like he was playing a song in his head, wiping his blood covered hand and scanning the other various tools he could use.
