Chapter 16: Laugh, live and be sarcastic

Maya's pov: 

Mom: Aren't you gonna say hello back Maya?

Me: Hello mother...What are you doing here?

Mom: Well you're in the hospital! 

Me *sarcastically*: And?

Emma: Hi so you are Maya's mom?

Mom: Yes indeed I am!

Emma: okay so here's the causes.

She handed her a paper with all of them on it. Hailee was looking at me in worry of what was about to happen...

Mom: Excuse me what?!

Me: What?

Mom: Do you realize what you've done?

Me *sarcastically*: No no I don't, I found it quite fun!

She stormed out of the room, I was looking at my friends who were holding their laughs. They couldn't hold it anymore they all laughed all except for Matthew.

Me: Hey could you 3 leave Matthew and I alone for a minute please?

Emma: Okay! Let's go Austin, want a cup of coffee?

Austin: Sure!

The 3 of them got out of the room, while Matthew sat down on my bed.

Me: Listen...Go with your mom please. Don't you worry I am fine and I'm being taking care of. But before you do that Matthew, how are you? 

Matthew: What do you mean?

Me: You just lost your dad...

Matthew: Oh yeah that. Don't worry about me.

Me: Matthew, you need to tell me when you're okay or not. It's not healthy not to.

He smiled at me laughing a little.

Matthew *laughing softly*: You're the one saying that? 

Me *laughing*: Well yeah! Do what I say not what I do!

Hailee's pov:

I followed Austin and "Emma" or as I like to call her the girl who's trynna steal what's mine. I mean he's not technically mine. And we haven't done anything. Wait does he think nothing is happening between us? Well she's gonna understand. I went to the bathroom for 5 minutes then came back to see him talking to her.

Emma: Oh my god Austin you're so funny!

Such a pick me. She putted her hand on Austin's arm rubbing it slowly. I could see he was embarrassed.

Me: Hey babe!

Emma: Babe?

Me: Yeah is there a problem?

Emma: You're not single?!

Me: No he's not.

Austin looked at me shocked. We weren't really officially together. But I wanted to be with him and he said to me at the beginning of our first date that he wanted that. So fuck it. She came closer to his ear.

Emma: I'm better than her. Call me. 

She gave him her card. I my mouth was wide open. How dare she? Her better than me? She wished. I was about to express my shock but then Austin expressed it for the both of us.

Austin: What the fuck? Does she has a sort of problem or what? 

Me: Yeah she does. But did you told her you were...

Austin: Yes! She talked about fun stories she lived at the hospital and then she approached me and asked me if I wanted to have dinner with me. I told her that I wasn't interested.
