Maria's pov:
"Midas honey, hurry up or you'll be late for your class. Todays Friday. Can't let you miss today. Be ready in 10'. You too Mandy. Don't wanna be late to submit your thesis honey."
"Mom chill, I can't let you be late too. Let's go."
"Okay mom. Oh, mom are we going to see grandpa Harold tomorrow? You promised if I be good all week we'll go. Please mommy pleaaaase."
Every time he looks at me with those big teary eyes when he wants something just can't let me resist him. How adorable. "Okay baby, we will leave tonight, or shall we wait for tomorrow?"
"No mom, let's go today after you pick me up from school. Thanks mom, I love you."
"I love you too Midas."
I really wish Andy was still alive to see his son growing up. Ever since I lost him in the army, I've never been the same again. Besides, I had told him not to join the army because it would be too risky. I know he is proud of our son and I. "I'll raise him well honey, so keep watching out for us. We need you. We always do."
"Okay baby, did you carry your lunch? I don't want you staying hungry like yesterday. You really embarrassed me argh!"
"Mom, relax. I already put it in my bag. I'm grown now."
"Grown? Midas you just turned twelve omg! But that's good. I have a little hero now, don't I?"
"Yes mommy. I always take care of you."
"I'm still older than you Midas." Mandy said to him laughing.
Andy, please watch out for our son. He always gets bullied and never fights back. I want him to be as strong as you. I don't think I can do this alone...
