(WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BAD END NIGHT MANGA AND LIGHT NOVEL.  Somewhat inspired by it, but altered it a bit.  You can read it at https://vgperson.tumblr.com/post/104910228710/bad-end-night-the-novel-part-1 but it's okay to read the story alone.  Hope you enjoy this silly thing I churned out)

Millicent: Bad End Night Miku

Renata: Bad End Night Rin

Leonard: Bad End Night Len

Lucille: Bad End Night Luka

Meg stood up on tiptoe, shutting up the high windows of the theater.  Although it was already nearing the end of winter, it was still cold, and snow still fell outside.  "There we are," she said, dusting herself off.  "That should keep the snow off the stage,"

"Such a shame, don't you think?" Renata remarked.  The small girl rocked back and forth on her large chair, which was meant to make her look even smaller, almost doll-size.  "We could have snow on the stage in time for the next performance!"

"Well, I see someone's already in character," said Mabel.  "Or perhaps that's just Renata being Renata,"

"I'm not in character yet, you know!  If I WAs tHEN I'd bE tALKing LIke thIS!" She immediately switched to "doll mode", enunciating her syllables and moving stiffly, like a doll that had come to life.

"It's understandable if you were, though," Kay added.  "After all, it's been a full year since we performed Crazy nighT,"

Reclining on a couch across from Renata, Lucille gave a knowing smile.  "A full year, hmmm...  So much has changed since then,"

"Some ways more than others," Mabel pondered, gazing towards an empty seat onstage.

"Are we still performing it the same way, though?  It's not as if we'll trigger the Burlet curse, but performing it exactly the same..." Leonard said.

"We all agreed, didn't we?  No changes on this one," Mabel interrupted.

"Except for one!" Meg chimed in.

"Yes, except for one.  We have our Millicent to thank for that." said Kay.  "Really, who would have thought we would discover the true end ourselves?"

The entire company froze at that statement, as if remembering something from the past.  Something they didn't want to remember.

"Speaking of Millicent, where is she?" Meg said, breaking the silence.

"Maybe she's taking time to get ready.  You know how lead actresses are," Renata said, purposely glancing toward Lucille.  Lucille glared at her.

"Now, now, everyone," Kay said.  "I'm sure Millicent is just late for the party.  This is, after all, Millicent we're talking about,"

"Hey, I just had a great idea!" Renata declared.  "Let's have the party onstage!  We can even wear our costumes!  It'll be just like being in the play...only without...you know..."  Renata was suddenly silent, as if remembering something she didn't want to.

"That sounds like a fine idea," Mabel said, in an attempt to maintain normalcy.  "All we have to do is wait for Millicent..."

Everyone glanced toward the door to the dressing room at the end of the theater.  The cast had assembled, but the leading lady had yet to arrive.
