Mare's pov:
It was an normal day at the town, the birds were chirping, and the sun was shining bright in the sky. Of course, just a normal day where my sister, Kitty and I would have to deal with the calumniating woman we so call mother.
The inmane pressure of our adoptive mother was inhumane, we were just 10 and that dreadful woman made our life's a living hell.
"WALK FASTER YOU BITCH, YOU WANT TO BE SKINNY DON'T YOU? THEN WALK."
She yelled, spitting out grim words towards us.
As all of that happened, my sister and I were walking down the town. We tried our hardest to block out our mothers words.
"Kitty..why the hell do we have to suffer all of this, I'm tired of this shit every single day. I-I just wish that woman would leave us in a foster home like mom and dad did.."
Kitty looked at me, with sadness painted all over her face.
She frowned, as my older sister, of course she was worried about me. No one deserves to go what we're going through.
"It'll be okay Mare, I promise you, that damn cunt won't hurt us again.."
As we talked, our so called mother, Nina, came walking towards us.
We were confused, even scared. She lifted her hand and slapped us both in the face, her calloused palm making contanct with both of our cheeks.
"Do you both really fucking think you can talk shit behind my back? YOU ARE BOTH UNGRATEFUL PIECES OF SHIT. You deserve NOTHING."
She took hold of both of our wrists, her harsh grip staining our wrists with red.
"I'll show you some fucking discipline."
She pushed us both inside, slamming the front door shut.
"You'll both see what happens to little brats that think they can run their mouth all they want."
She spewed out to us in a loud yet soft tone.
She stomped her way to the kitchen, making sure to be far away so we wouldn't know what she was doing.
Faintly, we could hear her phone ringing, she was clearly calling someone.
"Ayo Ricky, I have a task for you."
"A task? Nina you very well know I won't do shit for you unless you pay me. In cash."
"Sigh, fine, I'll pay."
"Very well then, I'm all ears."
"I want you to go take these two bitches away, beat them up."
"Hm..you better pay me well for this Nina."
"Yeah I will. Is 50$ enough?"
"More."
"Fine, 100$."
"Deal. When do I pick them up?"
"As soon as possible, right now would be better."
"Alright, make sure to get them ready when I get there."
"Yeah yeah, just hurry your sorry ass over here."
