Inside the VSF headquarters

Sonny's phone rang, his loud ringtone notifying him immediately.

Seeing the caller, Sonny's face lit up, and quickly answered the phone.

"Alban! Why are you still up? You still have a cold. You should be resting right now."

"Hah... Sonny..."

The shallow breathing from the other side of the phone immediately alarmed Sonny, stopping him from whatever he was doing.

"Alban? Are those gunshots?!"

"..."

"Alban?! Are you okay?!"

With the silence that followed, Sonny's face turns grimmer by the second as Alban usually starts his call with a loud greeting. But instead, his deep inhales and ragged breathing only made Sonny assume the worst.

"Sonny... There was an ambush... Don't go..."

"What? What ambu- Alban!"

As the line ends with a beep, Sonny trembles in anger upon hearing Alban's voice.

Trying to make sure, Sonny calls Alban, only to be sent to voicemail.

The loud explosion before the call ended made his heart leap out of his chest.

"Fuck!" The phone that was held in his hand flew before shattering into tiny pieces.

"Taichou! What happened?" Personnel from VSF walked up and warily inquired. It was the first time he saw their captain quivering in anger.

"I want Alban found, NOW. I don't care how you do it, just find him!" The captain ordered.

"S-so suddenly? We might not ha-" Before he could even finish his sentence, Sonny's glare made his mouth shut.

"Yes sir!" Seeing their captain's dark face, everyone started to look for any trace of Alban's whereabouts. From former news to recent ones, all of the people under him immediately went to work.

Sonny sucked in a deep breath. He knew he had to calm down, but his nerves weren't helping him one bit.

After a few minutes, one of the personnel in the intel gathering team spoke up.

"Taichou! He was found by xxx Corp.! I'll send the coordinates to you!"

"What?!" Hearing the name, Sonny, who only managed to calm down for a bit, once again became panic-stricken.

"I swear in my life, if they do anything to Alban..." Sonny gritted his teeth and prepared to leave.

However, before he could even go outside the door, he was stopped by his right-hand man.

"What are you doing? Move."

"Sonny! Are you planning to go alone?"

"Yes. Now move aside. I have no time."

"Absolutely not! You cannot go in there!"

"This is an order. Move before I do something."

"Taichou!! I know you're skilled, but even for you, it'll be hard to go against them! Why do you think we haven't made a mo-"
